had the pleasure of attending the armagh county final today and cross are some team but armagh harps if thats the best of the rest my god. cross won at a canter but im sure the boys in the jeans could have given them a better game than a woeful harps mckenna and the goalie apart. cross will walk ulster despit their lack of armagh competition a fullback line and a mobile midfield. weebox (Tyrone) - Posts: 272 - 19/10/2014 20:12:43 1665258 Link 0 |
Having watched the Limerick, Cork and Clare county hurling finals in the last few weeks, looks like the standard in Limerick is above the rest Brianmac78 (Dublin) - Posts: 1168 - 19/10/2014 20:49:11 1665270 Link 0 |

St Galls beat Cargin in the Antrim senior football final and I believe they have real intent on going for Ulster and All Ireland success this year. They are very good footballers and probably the only team in Ulster who could give Crossmaglen a game. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9818 - 19/10/2014 22:02:15 1665316 Link 0 |
Good stuff Ulsterman I love seeing Antrim teams do well, just wish the senior inter county teams would make the breakthrough aswell. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 20/10/2014 08:45:17 1665322 Link 0 |

Dr Crokes won the Senior Club final yesterday. If Mid Kerry beat Austin Stacks in next weekend's County final, Dr Crokes will be in the Munster Championship! legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8781 - 20/10/2014 09:27:42 1665332 Link 0 |

How is it ridiculous? As long as Divisional teams are not allowed represent counties in provincial championships then some other way of picking a representative club has to be found. Westfester (Limerick) - Posts: 979 - 20/10/2014 10:27:10 1665360 Link 0 |
Spot on Westfester. Some get it. Some don't. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8781 - 20/10/2014 10:40:34 1665366 Link 0 |
When you look at the situation in other counties like Armagh, Galway and Roscommon, with one club dominating and terribly one sided finals, maybe more counties should consider having divisional teams. I think the competitive club scene is a major reason for Kerrys intercounty success. Soma (UK) - Posts: 2630 - 20/10/2014 10:40:54 1665367 Link 0 |
Are there 2 championships in Kerry? gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 20/10/2014 11:16:03 1665383 Link 0 |
Playing for a small junior club should not prevent a talented footballer from playing in their county's premier championship. I think it's a positive. It's a positive then that the senior clubs have their own championship as well. Both have run smoothly and on time. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8781 - 20/10/2014 11:31:21 1665390 Link 0 |
Yes could someone please explain the structure of the Kerry Championships. Is there Two different championships? lilywhite1 (Kildare) - Posts: 3028 - 20/10/2014 12:15:36 1665412 Link 0 |
Great result for Clontibret in Ulster yesterday beating a fancied kilcoo team who were hell bent on trying to give a bit of black and blue colouring to Conor McManus' body. Played from the 14 minute with 14 players and 2 points down in injury time and up pops the best half back in Ireland this year (Dessie Mone) to palm to the net to secure victory. McManus finished with 8 points out 1-9 all from frees but that was down to pure panic in the kilcoo defence everytime he got the ball. Conor finished the game with blood caked on his face but what a credit he is to be battered black and blue and not react once. shaggylegend (Monaghan) - Posts: 1948 - 20/10/2014 12:35:14 1665423 Link 0 |

There's the County Championship with the senior clubs and divisional clubs. There's also the Senior Club Championship with the clubs only. Dr Crokes won the Senior Club Championship yesterday. Austin Stacks and Mid Kerry will compete in the County Championship final next Sunday. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8781 - 20/10/2014 12:54:32 1665436 Link 0 |
