And I also find it very revealing that Jim made no mention of wanting to come to Aughrim. He fears Wicklow, and is praying that we do not win the TC and end up knocking Donegal out in 2026. Donegal might and might not win the All Ireland this year. It's a competitive field where any of about six teams will fancy their chances with a fair wind behind them. Jim is doing what Jim does, galvanising the squad and the supporters behind them. It's not new or surprising, but it still seems to trigger lots and lots of people, there's smoke coming off many a keybaord and phone up and down the country since his Sunday evening interview. Michael Murphy's form is bizarrely triggering a lot of people in a similar manner. He committed the ghastly crime of running off the pitch on Sunday to conduct an after-match interview. This was enough for a complete character assassination for some people online. The fact that Michael subsequently did spend a good bit of time signing autographs and posing for pictures was neiher here nor there apparently. She was talking all week about how we were in for a shock on Sunday and I'm sure it was a hard defeat to take. Yeah I don't really know why there's been such a big hullabaloo over it really. We all know what he's up to with his comments and the timing is perfect given he's more than likely not massively happy with where performance levels are. He also knows as you say that he needs the support 110% behind ye moving forward and creating the big of "them against us" narrative feeds into that perfectly. As you also say, nothing new or surprising. Leave him at it and things will be settled on the field over the next few weeks. On Murphy's form - what a player firstly. Another top performance on Sunday and for a man closing in on his 36th birthday its all the more impressive he is playing such a prominent role. I wonder if things are going to plan this weekend if he'll get a bit of a rest. Not saying he needs it but would be no harm now with the schedule about to ramp up for those teams that progress beyond the weekend.
