I wouldn't start him Hearne and Lawlor have formed a good partnership . Hearne gets through some work . Dee could be the experienced head we need in the last 10 minutes if he is it fit to play

Little off topic but would love to see a shake up in the actual set up of all ireland series .
2 groups of six
The inc 5 munster the 6 present I leinstr and Joe mac winners.
Seed groups say by
winners all ireland 1 losers 2
Semi finalists 3 and 4 depending on winners of all ireland
5 6 losing 1/4 finalists depending on all ire land winners
Seeds 7, 8 ,9 ,10 will
4 th 5th in round Robin groups previous year
And 6th in leinster with Joe mac winners .seeds 11 ,12
Group 1 seeds 1, 4,5, 7 ,8 12
Group 2 seeds 2,3, 6 9 ,10, 11
If was possible to add 6 th into munster championship to balance it out where 3 from each province would be in each group . Seeding may need tweaking for this to work properly and agreement from say Antrim and galway to alternate between proovinces .
The top ranked teams from munster and leinstr in each group play munster/ leinster final and winners straight into semi fiinal as is .
1/4 final preliminary round depending on 4 gone through to provisional finals for illustration purposes
Say 3rd group 1 play 4th group 2 and 3rd group 2plays 4th group 1 .
Winners preliminary 1/4 final play losers of provisional finals .
5th place In group are out
6th in groups play preliminary relegation final .
Losers play winners Joe mac to see who takes up 12th seed ollowing year .
Advantages are keeping and rewarding provisional winners and keeping provisional alive top 4 teams in each group should make minimum preliminary 1/4 final .
All knock out games should be really competitive. Ie teams earn the right to be there. .
Expanding the number iof teams where a team get loads chance to stay up . No munster/leinster team is guaranteed safety regardless of form .
If munster hurling is so much stronger than leinster then they will prove it by staying I the championship longer. And leinstrr hurling will need to improve itself.
Imagine first round of round Robin could be Galway v Cork lim v wex clare v Dublin ,carlow v tipp , kilkenny v waterford , ,offaly/laois v Antrim .
Fairly intriguing and still wil have huge provisional games too .
All teams something to play for right until the end
Minimum 5 games fir 2 teams 6 or 7 fir everyone else.

I would say after Lee Chin, Hearne is the second name on team sheet every game.

He is hurling out of skin in midfield this year.

I like the current format only I dont think its atall fair that the last team in munster dont have any threat of relegation hanging over them. Tipp should be made play loser of Carlow or Antrim in a neutral venue in my opinion and the loser is relegated.

It is good I've had it for a number of years. Only thing is Cairde only gives you 1 championship ticket. So if non chairde friends are going then you can't sit beside them. The tickets to be fair are always the best ones possible. In 2019 Leinster final Tony Doran was sitting in front of me and the Jacobs were all behind me so decent tickets!

Another thing kids are entitled to one championship ticket too but not the All Ireland final. My 8 year old born in Dublin but Wexford mad would be heartbroken if he ever missed us in an AI final.

For 2019 they used to ring if you booked tickets and the woman said on the phone I can have a 2nd ticket if I wanted. I doubt that would happen in an AI final tho

Yeah with the Leinster team given a home venue. If your not in 1A then a home venue to even it up a bit because that game could easily be a 30 point loss otherwise.

Antrim or Carlow v Tipp at home might be a bit of contest.

I know munster could complain that it's not fair but it's hardly fair that there is no relegation at all at the moment in Munster

Probably not on amy given day but it's not inconceivable that they could put up a huge score on both of em if they had to. I mean we did it on Sunday. So could they but my point is they'd be less likely to do it in Carlow or especially Corrigan Park

Agreed, the winner of the Joe McDonagh should also enter the Leinster and Munster championship every second year. The Munster championship is a protected species! You can't criticise it and it's impossible to get into it or out of it.

Would be some boost for hurling in Leinster if Wexford and Dublin made the Leinster final.

Another point is that munster only have 4 round Robin games leinster have 5 . U can beat on sbout contest and competitiveness but its still an extra game where you have to be onyiur game no matter what the opposition its still championship and it takes its toll
Could nt see why they would not agree as if they deem munster teams are that superior the big 5 in munster would be guaranteed a 1/4 spot at worst and you play 2 of yiur games v munster opposition abd . let kerry in as there 6th team or woukd that be below them so 3 and 3 on each group where the best teams will be in the mix at knockout stage if they are good enough
Another option would be top 4 in each group into 1/4 finals and mini 3 team league to determine provincisl finalists. . 1 4 2v3 3v2 4v1 in opposite groups .
Easier format to organise again startung with seeds as set iut in above message

Well whatever about Tipp being how much better than Carlow, showing highlights of that game again the other night rather than showing 10 minutes of Wexford v Carlow is a crime against humanity.

I do expect us to travel in big numbers to be honest. We generally do to Nowlan park and there's a sniff of some success. I think we can outnumber the cats in the stand.

Wife will go mental when I tell her I've cancelled my daughter's junior cert maths grinds to bring her to Kilkenny:)

Could see us bringing 8-10,000… think it would be a different story if it was on RTE rather than GAAGO.

Really hope so! This is the first time since 2019 where Wexford fans can really get behind the team in a Leinster semi final (Covid years 2020 no crowd and 2021 only small crowd allowed in Croker). Id love to here us really get behind the lads. We seen the difference support made to Clare in 2022 the noise was deafening near the end.

Just bought 5 ardan de gras tickets ther e now so dont know why you think its sold out they come and go on the mahines so as to try and sell all areas common for all matches.Exspect about 20000 i heard .Offaly had 1500 at u20 last night so should be at least that.
