Replying To Carlowtothecore1:  "Enjoying the threads, but had to look up that podcast to see who the carlow guy was! He's either winding up, or hasn't a clue what goes on in their camp, cause I personally saw players having a "beer" and another "beer" on Saturday night..
To the best of my knowledge that guy loves the Mike and has to say something… anyone that felt we lost an opportunity to beat the cats!! should question their knowledge of the game,.. Two down into injury time, not too many in the history of gaa have got out with anything… other than ye on 2004 of course!!
Looking forward to Sunday, realistically this is real bonus territory for us and that point last week could prove massive heading to Belfast for our All Ireland final this year, for belief alone…"
Ah that all adds up because he was also talking about Kilkenny coming out and trying to work goals as if it was insulting to Carlow. Kilkenny have always tried to work goals against every team as long as I can remember. It is in their DNA.
I am happy to hear they enjoyed the win, we have 1-2 bottles of beer after every game and we all go for a recovery run the next day logged on Strava, mainly a collective run for 35-45 minutes. It has NO impact on performance.
Viking, I would point out once they stopped well before Sunday morning it wouldn't matter. Sunday night after a Saturday evening game might matter a bit more, add up a lot of pints and a kebab and that might stick around the system. But 1-2-3 bottles? Not a bother.
But the problem then is, Wexford go out and beat them by 10 points (I don't think they will, but go with me) and the first thing pointed to will be "they were drinking last Saturday after the match". Odd attitude, but 3 days drinking after they exit the championship?

Replying To Fulgrim:  "So how would that work if that was the team? Push Richie up to the wing forward and have Simon fit in midfield? I'd be fairly surprised if we changed up our back 6 considering the last day. That would mean playing Cathal inside too, even though he's been playing further out the field a lot. Less strange than playing Simon as a forward mind you."
Yeah it seems completely counter-intuitive. The backs can't be changed after the last day, Lawlor played his best game in the middle too, and making what seems like a positional re-jig to apparently accommodate a player that wouldn't be an automatic starter all things being equal, looks illogical as well.

Dwyer and Casey are the most like-for-like replacements in my opinion.

Folks, go listen to Joe Brolly's 'Free State' podcast this week about Donegal and Armagh - he has some really interesting observations about fears of losing, winning mindsets etc.

It's a bit square peg round hole for me if I'm being honest.

Think Dunbar is more like for like for Byrne than Casey tbh. Agree Dwyer should start in the half forwards if fully fit.

Can't see that team starting. I'd imagine Casey will come in for Simon and push lawlor to midfield stick Casey inside and push Dunbar out to half forward line.

Replying To Wexfordgaa:  "Simon donoghue in for jack o and Dunbar in for Byrne. Simon and I hate criticising players but isn't up to scratch. Poor in two previous games against Dublin and Antrim. Hopefully he proves me wrong this weekend"
To be fair to him he was our best defender last year. I agree though. He's struggling at the minute.

I'll be very surprised if we line out like that

Not sure. I do think inside is Dunbars best position tbh

We are only second guessung Rossi he may change the starting team he might not. if it stays the same I can see sense in having impact on the bench to come in when needed not if .
Maybe Simon was carrying a knock v Antrim he was poor but so were few more who excelled the last day . Could be he s hoping for a real positive reaction from him we don't know. But to name him vice captain he was obviously in his main plan for the year.
Best of luck on Sunday to all involved get there and cheer like it was 68 76 77 96 97 04 19 whichever is ur best memory . And make this the year of a new memory for us and our younger generation. Thankfully our destiny is still in our own hands . And we as wexford people have responsibility to get behind them it's our county and always will be no point on shouting and nit be there to be heard .

We've made changes in all the games so maybe we will make changes before throw in again

I can't see Jippo in the half backs. Surely everyone knows how vulnerable we are in the fullback line without him. Remember Dublin remember Antrim.
Maybe Keith is playing mind games with Mulally.
Simon in centrefiel?? Strange move. I think like other posters that there will be a bit of juggling done before throw in. Whatever way we line out lets hope it works.

Should be a good atmosphere tomorrow now in a tight ground like Dr Cullen Park. Great to see a local derby like it in the Leinster Championship. Chin to the fore again and Wexford to win by 8 points

Very tough on the minors. Some of these calls have been totally bizarre. Fine margins in this and Dublin getting every single 50 50

Leaving Parnell Park and a familiar feeling of disappointment. Ref didn't give us much and we had to work harder for our frees than Dublin. We also lacked a small bit of cuteness. Almost a carbon copy of the U20 game a few weeks ago.

3 fouls on the Wexford forward in the square. No whistle. One tug on Dublin forward, free. We as a county need to start making a way bigger fuss about this. It's happening us at every level and costing us games left right and centre.

On a more positive note, the quality of tackling in the first half for both sides was fantastic

Another beaten minor team. One Leinster minor title in 39 years.

That minor game was so disappointing, how do we always leave these types of games without a win. I felt we were the better team today and still lost by 4. Sean o brien is a class act but unfortunately he missed a few frees that he usually put over in his sleep. If you look back over that game again, small simple things keep costing us(one example, we had a scoreable free
wexford player got involved with dublin player the ball was thrown in dublin go up the field and score) Dublin are a good team but in my opinion the best team on the day lost today.
