Replying To Gaa_lover:  "7 if you re-count.

Last two years the All star count for All Ireland winners.

6 for Armagh
5 for Dublin

With that in mind my prediction of 7 could be too high.

On Sam Mulroy I disagree, Thought he deserved one last year, Louth should win one this year for winning Leinster and Mulroy the most likely."
Kerry have some really excellent players. I think they will get 6
I reckon Donegal will get 5, after some standout performances this year.
2 for Tyrone
1 for Meath
1 for Louth

Can you name 6 Kerry players who had a consistent championship and worth an All Star? I struggle to name five TBH.

So you think the players that won All Stars the last two years on teams that was knocked out in the prelims didn't deserve it?

Mccole marking clifford, Clifford scores 9 points from play.

Sean Rafferty marking clifford, 3 points from play.

Yeah people saying McCole did well at times against Clifford. What game were they watching. He picked up one ball that was a wayward pass to Clifford in 2nd half. Made the classic mistake that poor backs do of not knowing where the ball is at all times. Clifford even won a ball out in front of him, ran around him and McCole just headed for his own goal away from Clifford after Clifford pulled the brakes. Ironically Clifford had more in him and would wonder what he would have done if fed more. Foley had a solid year and deserves all-star. Probably would give other corner back position to Roarty who was wrongly played out of position by Mcguinness today.

Replying To tirawleybaron:  "In the normal way of the all stars, your playing yourself off the team from semis onwards.

Padraig Hampsey, Brian Kennedy and the entire Meath team played themselves off the Allstar team at the weekend.

Whoever gets to mark David Clifford is in an all or nothing situation. Keep him under 4 points from play - All star in the bag let him score a goal or couple of 2 pointers - All star gone.

Of the Tyrone lads who played last weekend - their allstars will come from Niall Morgan, Kieran McGeary, Conn Kilpatrick and Darragh Canavan

To revise the likely list now

GK - Morgan/Beggan
FB - Foley, Murphy/Roarty, Mogan/McCole
CB - White, McGeary. Gallagher
MF - Kilpatrick, Langan/O Connor
CF - SOS, PClifford/O Donnell/Moore/Thompson,
FF - D Clifford, Murphy, Canavan/O Gallen

Likely
3 Tyrone, 5-7 Kerry, 5-7 Donegal"
A comprehensive win or Kerry means they will get 7/8 now.
Donegals flop in the final will reduce them to 2/3

I would go for the below

K - Beggan
FB - Foley, Murphy, Mogan
CB - White, McGeary, Breen
MF - Kilpatrick, O Connor
CF - SOS, PClifford, C Thompson,
FF - D Clifford, Murphy, Canavan

The split will be 6 or 7 Kerry, 4 or 5 Donegal, and the rest divided between Tyrone, Meath, Galway, Armagh. Nobody from any other team deserves on.

Always thought Louth would get a token All Star for winning Leinster, but their performances after the Leinster Final really doesn't merit one and they played like a division 3 team coming 3rd in their group. Can't get one for that.

Conor O'Donnell deserves an all star only Clifford and finnerty scored more from play than him in championship and his 3-25 had no 2 pointers

I think it's safe to say that 4 or 5 lads picked on your team will not get all-stars. Questionable if they will even be nominated.

Would have been struggle to pick 5 Kerry players before the final but now after winning it by healthy margin many including the Sunday Game team of the year are picking 7 of 8 Kerry players.

9 pts from play against an all-star full back with 7 possession. Give me a break!

Foley, Rafferty, Roarty
O'Beaglaoich, White, McGeary
Joe O'Connor, Murdoch
Conaty, O'Shea, Langan
D Clifford, M Murphy, P Clifford

Murdoch and Conaty in as 9/10 in every match they played. Conor O'Donnell unlucky to miss out.

Your Meath full back line conceded 3-11 against us. Give me a break.

Gallen destroyed Rafferty.

McCole did really well on every other top forward except the player of the year.

I was waiting for your propaganda machine to come back into full swing.

Still don't see why Rafferty deserves one above Kerry and Donegal full back like

He'll probably get one. But it would be because Meath 'have' to get one

A token All Star.

Eh Gallen is a great forward. Your manager made a poor error to take him off for McBrearty who clearly hasn't the pace to play at top level anymore.
In saying that Gallen got 3 Scores of that 3-11. Meath's corner backs admittedly are not top level. I would have Foley there along with Roarty who again your manager made a poor decision to play him in half backline.

You are judging Rafferty on one game, if mccole is to be judged on one game he won't get one either.
