Where has Devine managed before? Was he with the club in Cavan that lost the county final last year?

Yeah,I think he was over Killygary and brought them to the final(open to correction here)and was with Laragh utd in Cavan for a couple of years and won an Intermediate title with them.It will be interesting to see how he gets on but there is potential there at the Cilles with the underage success they have had recently.Although I suppose there is potential in every club isn't there?I'm not sure who is going in with him but rumour has it Sean Kelly is going back to them as well.Again just a rumour so you never know.

I think he was over Kells previously when they last won the intermediate

Jody is a very good appointment. Cilles have been underperforming past couple of years.

Agreed St Colmcilles have been underperforming. They did get to a league final last year and almost won it. Nobody on the county team. I would imagine 3 county 20's (although there's a chance none will start). They have a chance to put a good run together earlier in the year and build momentum off that

Jody Devine is an exciting appointment:

Won and intermediate with Kells
Junior championship with Bective
Won Cavan IFC with Laragh
Brought Killygarry to their first Cavan senior final in 50 years.

Would have considerable experience with other clubs as well - Drumbaragh, St. Ultans, St. Brigids (Ballinacree), Kilmainhamwood and Meath Juniors too I think. He has been around the block and usually gets the best out of any group of players he has been involved with. Colmcilles will be flying fit this year, that is one guarantee.

Moynalvey have a Dunshaughlin man over them i see. Interesting. Not a whole lot of experience. A poster on another thread mentioned 6 Moynalvey lads going abroad. Is that true?

Who is the Dunshaughlin man? Very tough on a rural club down so many players.

A man that was sacked from his last two managerial jobs, neither senior clubs so it's interesting, moynalveys whole 2022 full back line is gone, Scott tuite conor harnan and Brian o'reilly, Sean duggan who played wing forward also gone, and corner forward Adam murphy gone also, all 5 lads gone to Australia together I believe, David mcloughlin also not playing football this year apparently, due to taking part in cross fit. Interesting from a lad who COR had in at the start and got dropped, he could be sulking over that and threw the toys out of the pram would be my look on it

Ridiculous carry on. Its gone like the Premier League and I think players and committees watching too Sky Sports. End of the day only 3 managers and clubs can win a championship in Meath

Win Championship or move on seems to be the trend.

Exceptions

In senior Dunshaughlin very unlucky. If Kealy stays on or not, i'm sure he will. He's done a phenomenal job. Very unlucky not to beat Ratoath.

I think exception in inter would be Meath Hill. I thought they were very impressive under McCoy ( I think correct
name)

Slane have been on way for a while. Not sure if that same manager from last season.

Moynalty and Dunsany both terribly unlucky over years. Not sure what ye can blame that on successive managers.

One thing since Covid that's had a huge impact on clubs competitiveness, is lads immigrating or heading away for summer. It's really hit smaller populated clubs like Gael Colmcille, Dunderry, Skryne this season. Next year surely can only get better for them.

Dunboyne not sure what happened there, but I heard they have lost a lot aswell, but obviously from larger pool, that just kept them up. I was told upwards of 70 players of all grades over last three years. Not sure how reliable that bit is.

Seneschalstown advertising anyway. They seem to have a high turnover of managers ?
