Hello people,

I figure this is a good board to ask for recommendations for a night out in Belfast.
Myself and another buck (late 30s/early 40s) heading to a gig in Ulster hall in Dec Fri 16th.
We are staying out in west Belfast (andersonstown)
Anywhere in or around these places that's got good Guinness and a bit of life around it ?

And if there is still a bit left in the tank, is there a good night club or preferably a late bar with some guitar tunes?

Míle buíochas"
Ardoyne always used to be good for a buzz!!!

Ok the big one tomorrow, i think when the draw was made these 2 teams would have been most peoples fancies to get to the final.
Kilcoo going for 3 in a row and Glen the looking to take over as Ulsters best team, this will come down to small fractions, Glen have started there last 2 games slow and if they do that again they could be in trouble early but i think both teams will be very tight in opening 15 to suss each other out.
Kilcoo in there 2 games have had 8/9 different scorers which is very hard on any defence to close off key players with others stepping up.

One mistake could be costly and any goal with be massive in the game, i will go for kilcoo by 2, hopefully a great game.

Kilcoo playing a bit like Soccer. More time lying on ground than standing. About 3 minutes of ball in play during 10 minutes black card.

How did McQuillan or the linesmen miss Dylan Ward?

Well done Glen, showed Kilcoo how to win football. Took all abuse going on field but got on with it.Just a pity it wasn't Errigal who showed them.

Enjoyable game for the neutral.
Well done Glen. Deserved it today.
Kilcoo probably on the go for a bit too long. It's hard to keep a run like that going.

And a another good result for Malachy O'Rourke. He's a top class manager.
Wonder will he try the intercounty game again at some point?

Very entertaining game.. Nice to see the club finals at suitable grounds this weekend. Atmosphere adding greatly to both, unlike reliving the Covid experience in Croke Park..

Congrats to the glen..think a pity that kilcoo just don't play football all the time because they are very good when they do..what a pleasure to watch Conor glass, doesn't engage in any silly stuff and is a role model for any young player..

Well done Glen well deserved their win well organised under Malcahy O'Rourke. Sets up interesting semi final against Moycullen

Not an easy game to manage and Joe had little or no control of it.

Agree with all comments on Glass, what a class act he is. Ward got pulled at half time as he wasnt going to last too long with his indiscipline. Thought ref did well but he let an awful lot go. Hard to believe Glen only won their first county championship last year. ORourke has them flying. A serious midfield with Glass and Bradley. Looking like a Glen v Crokes final but 2 decent semis in store.

Glen v moycullen and rahillys v kilmacaud.
You'd have to go for glen Crokes final.
Crokes to win it out

Very impressed with Glen. I think their match with Moycullen could be a great battle.
Moycullen are very strong around the middle too and have plenty strong and direct players.
Two first-time provincial winners, so there's no real advantage either way from an experience point of view.

It looks like Crokes, O'Rahillys had just a point to spare over the Limerick champions, and Moycullen/ Glen are not experienced at this level of club competition.
