Replying To bad.monkey:  "Glad to hear there will be an inquiry into the Omagh bombing. Truely a desperate day for everyone living on the island. I hope it will bring some peace to the families of the victims."
Yes. Seems like an unfortunate coincidence of an informer ridden gang that thought they could do what the Provos had failed to, and a security service that was never shy about sacrificing people to its own ends.

As Anton Mac Cába said on R na G earlier, it is a pity that many of the family members who pushed for the truth to come out - and for prosecutions including of people who were possibly state agents - are now passed on. No doubt, the atrocity having contributed to some of their early deaths.

I'd say the prospect of a €700 hit per day called his bluff.

Mind you - if he had stopped his protest the likelihood is it would have been mentioned.

Big day in Leopardstown. Honeysuckle to see off the new pretender or her great career to come to an end?

If she gets beat today, I doubt they'll send her to Cheltenham. Was better value earlier on to finish in first two than State Man to win. Hope she wins of course.

I'm no fan of Burke or his crazy religion but surely he is entitled to his beliefs. His Religion is no more daft than any other Religion. They are all man made. He is a victim of the Woke agenda.

Did anybody see the fighting at the darts the other night in Belfast? Haven't seen any reports on news, could be wrong. I know for a fact it would have been headlines if it were a GAA match.

Hitler thought that he was entitled to his beliefs and that ended well for him.

That applies more surely to those who bizarrely believe that you can just off the top of your head decide you are a girl and not a boy?

He is no different to other singular persons who object to the nation, they may make sense and have a valid point but they may not always be correct.
Burke is using an updated version of political correctness to get his point across. He is entitled to his opinion when / if you compare him to other stand alone objectors.

People put this stuff into black and white and argue against each other. In some cases the person ( family) involved are just on their latest mission to get more attention. Let's just call a spade a spade and the reason the story is dying is the press stopped showing up, simple as that.

I don't think they care whether the press is there. A bad guide to anything in this country.

They're usually not my cup of tea but if it is a choice between Enoch taking a stand over an absurdity he refuses to accept, and the people who hate him, then i be with him.

But that wasnt the choice. He could have just shown a bit of decency to kid in his school. He decided not to. Good riddance.

Lol of course they care. An absurdity? You honeslty think Enoch only has a problem with one thing and he is making a stand? That's half the story. I don't think anyone hates him, they find him amusing and a figure of fun. Can't wait for the next issue the family take a stance over.......

That kid may well live to thank him some day unless the current madness persuades him into doing something that may disastrously change his life for the worse.

Decency and warped quasi religious fanaticism don't go together.

The fanaticism is all on the other side these days, The quasi religion is made up of the strange stuff that lefties have adopted since socialism went belly up 30 years ago,
