Replying To Bon:  "Yes please do, because as a Celtic supporter I am certainly not in my element because someone died, and to tar all supporters as such because a minority displayed a flag is certainly ignorant. Mabye its you that needs things explained to them."
First off where did I say all Celtic supporters? Then then it's nothing new for some of them to pretend they're all good.

I asked last week and maybe you'll be able to answer. Where did the Celtic fans go on social media after the Real Madrid game? They were very vocal before that.

Galwayford is crossing over. I am going to a Connacht rugby match next month. How will I be able to claim "working class" cred now. Just joking. It is good to support this team, rugby is an important part of Irish culture. That said as a staunch GAA and football supporter.

Fair play, I know of staunch GAA men who bought season tickets to watch Ulster because of county football finishing early. Not a bad way to spend the winter.

It's just interesting as few fan bases disappear as quickly as them when results don't go their way.

In other news good to seen both Waterford and Treaty progress in the FAI Cup last night. Would be a good boost to see either make the final.

I feel bad about supporting the rival Connacht rugby team. Galway Utd are worth support too. Our GAA chiefs are making a lot of big decisions these days.

Why would you feel bad about supporting Connacht rugby? Plenty GAA people attend Connacht games. I'm not a regular there but I've been to lots of Connacht games over the last 15 years.

In what way?
For as long as I've supported Galway Gaa there's always been a fixture imbalance against the soccer and rugby.
Connacht play the guts of 30 games a year, most of them reasonably important, with something riding on them, Galway United the same, there thereabouts, while many GAA counties only have 3 or 4 games a year that they truly care about winning, some even less.
This is where the problem is imo, switching the finals back to September won't change that.

In fairness maybe he isn't a 'proud Connacht' person.

I'm not a pround Leinsterman for example. I don't identify with someone from Longford more than someone from Cavan if you get me. Being from Leinster isn't part of my make up.

Just because you're from somewhere that a sports club claims as their own doesn't mean you have to identify with it. We see that clearly in this country with the LoI for example.

Galway Utd need to sort themselves off the feild imo I don't think their recent take over announcement is the answer either...

I wouldn't mind doing away with Mc Kenna cup and the likes and playing league on a home and away format with top team being winners. Alot more days out.

Does the recent coverage surrounding the death of Queen Elizabeth strike any of you as being bizarre? I've tried to avoid it to be honest but couldn't help watching a few minutes of it last night on the BBC news. People had been queueing for hours on end to see the Queen lying in state. Like, literally for almost a full 24 hours in some cases. The worst example was one woman who had actually done it twice! Then there has been outrage at some "celebrities" (Philip Schofield) being allowed to jump the queue. As I said to the wife, it wouldn't surprise me if the remains weren't in Westminster at all, but for security reasons were actually in some other location. So you've got all these hundreds of thousands of people queueing around the clock to see a wee shrine with nothing there.

If Kim Jong-un died in North Korea and the Koreans were seen to be at similar there'd be some tutting and condescension.

Aye. Just put her in a mausoleum like Lenin and be done with it. That way, everyone who wants to see her can in a way that doesn't put too much pressure on public infrastructure, and everybody who doesn't can get on with their lives.

Officially, there's still a week of mourning after her funeral, that makes two and a half weeks since her passing. Bananas.

Yeah and seeing people visibly upset about the whole thing. Every-day people so far removed from the Royal's & their lifestyle that they might as well be from Mars. They'd be far better off showing their emotions at the house of Commons where the Tories continuously treat the population with barely veiled contempt.

It is complete bonkers.

BBC interviewed a couple who were the very last people in the queue to see the Queens coffin.

When asked what they made of the experience and if it was wort the wait, the woman replied with the below - I KID YOU NOT:

''I think its the best thing i have ever done in my life, even having my children Lily and Luca, this tops that''

The world is gone MAD!

A husband and wife on BBC this morning and she said she queued all night to pay her respects and it was life changing, even better than giving birth to her children, her words. Another two woman queued all night and they had their husband's ashes with them. They said their husbands wouldn't want to miss it. Bonkers the lot of them.
