Replying To TheFlaker:  "Trump more likely to bring peace in Ukraine and Israel? What's that opinion based on? He doesn't believe in Nato and has praised Putin more than once. Trump is a puppet for the likes of Putin."
Not one single war happened under trumps administration but you keep on believing democrats are the good guys.

Replying To TheFlaker:  "So just to clarify you think Putin doesn't invade Ukraine if Trump was there?"
He invaded Crimea under Obama's watch. Nothing under Trump. Then when Trump was gone he invaded Ukraine when Biden was president.

Replying To Doylerwex:  "All of us in the West are a part of the America empire whether we like it or not. Ireland more than most actually. I agree with you though. They're both bad candidates.

Personally I think trump is more likely to bring about peace in Ukraine and Israel which will ease pressure on energy costs and is morally good.

Harris is far less likely to adopt a protectionist economic policy which will have a positive impact on jobs in Ireland. I don't think people get how serious that is.

Either way the American empire is coming to an end."
The thing is who will win the race to become the next American President? There's only one thing that is making this election a bit interesting and that is Kamala Harris is more likely to become the first woman to become the next president of the United States. Kamala is already leading by 5 points I understand that that lead may be just temporary and may be struck out within a couple of days but is very unlikely.

Personally, I think Harris will become the next president of the U.S not because she is the ideal person for the job but as the saying goes anyone but Trump. Back in the day neither of them would get within an ass's roar of contesting the vacancy for the American presidency. Of all the incoming American presidents Harris will be the first that will have little or no connection with "Ireland" so as someone of international importance of promoting Ireland as the ideal place to go / visit and spend your money in my view Harris has nothing to offer, so in other words it makes no difference to us who wins the race to occupy the White House.

Trump has a much better chance of bringing not so much a cease fire to Ukraine and Israel but he has a much better chance of bringing a lengthily pause to the Sicking atrocities that is befalling the indefensible people young and old of both the Ukraine and Israel, Biden has made no inroads what so ever in to coming to terms with the log jam of issues that affects the everyday life of the indefensible poorest of the poor.

We need another 4 years of Trumps arrogance. Persistence. Stubbornness etc, to convince Mr Putin, and Mr Benjemin Netanyahu that enough is enough. There is no chance Ms Harris is ever going to achieve that, not a chance.

Funny isn't it 8 years ago the American people were looking for a President of understanding, finance and employment. Eight years on all they want is an old fashioned President who can bring pease and stability to the world and its people, sadly the search continuous.

He invaded Ukraine when Covid was gone. One positive about Covid, it wasn't the ideal climate to invade the neighbours. Good time to 'plan' though.

Loads of friends from both sides and i lived over there. Trump left with the worst debt ever built up by any administration. Their economy is recovering pretty well year on year. Look up Trump and his constant banging on about tariffs. He literally doesn't understand how they work. Absolutely clueless.

And can you tell me what impact little rocket man had on the world pre Trump and after he was gone? Oh yeah that's right, absolutely none.

Why are people arguing about America politics. It's nothing to do with us. I couldn't give a flip who is elected

Agree 100%. As I said before it's constantly in the media as it deflects from the problems in our own country.

Left with the worst debt ever built up by any administration? Jeez I wonder why that was? I don't think there was any world events happening that rocked markets and economies in every single nation. Like Bobby in the shower, it was all a dream we couldn't leave our houses

You think it was all Covid. I will say it again. Trump literally doesn't know what a tariff is and how it works yet he never shuts up about them. But yeah he's the guy who knows what's what when it comes to the economy.

I never said it was all covid. You are a great poster for putting words in others mouths. Trump brought in tariffs on certain Chinese products in his term of office so by your reckoning you would assume Biden and Harris got rid of them immediately in office...but did they? No they didn't and indeed Biden has increased further some of these tariffs...this week!! How do you square that one?

I wasn't debating who is imposing more tariffs. Trump literally doesn't understand how they work. He has been caught on camera numerous times in recent interviews clearly not understanding how they work and how they affect American consumers.

Trump is in the happy situation that he doesn't need to understand how tariffs work. All he needs to do is make the right noises and his base sticks with him. They mostly don't understand either but see what he promises as the way to a better America. He was never a great businessman - I think he has gone belly up numerous times but he says what people want to hear.

If he doesn't understand them when he imposed them, then why is the current regime doubling down on what he imposed?

Means the democrats don't understand tariffs either doesn't it?
