That is not what lost them that game

Replying To ChampSunday:  "That sounds like their own fault for prioritising a junior competition. Says more about them than the county board.

But I doubt the management where thinking about a Premier division 4 game if they felt a player on bench would make a difference, they would have brought him on."
From what I've seen they hav'nt got anything on the bench to bring on. They got relegated from division 3. So lads need to calm down

I believe there is a meeting tonight but i wouldn't say it's madness, i'd say it's great that common sense seems like it going to prevail and i don't think many people will disagree with it including the senior teams as no one wants to be give a walk over in a semi final or final as it would mean nothing. I know we would struggle to field a team now after losing 10 players over the weekend (5 subs). the smaller clubs just don't have the numbers for this so i just hope that the right decision will be made tonight and teams will be aloud to play with the same players that have played together all year. And I have to give credit to the county board for realising that it needs to happen and taking action. at least clubs feel like there being listened to.

Yea I suppose your right. Everyone will be on a level playing field then. No word of fixtures for the final of Premier 4 yet.

Good man Bob. Were you at the game ? I was there and not bringing a sub on did not cost them the game. The lads they had on the bench would have weakened the team significantly if brought on so there was no point. You're miles off it.

Well everything was put on hold until the meeting tonight so i would imagine the fixtures will then be releases over the next couple of days. I'd say they would probably be two week after the next round of first team championship as that would make the most sense but that's just a guess

How could they not have envisaged this was going be a problem, or have it set in stone to clubs what was going happen irrespective of their higher team playing higher grade. This Premier has dragged on massively now and turned to a complete mess.. people will have holidays booked etc when refixtures are made no doubt.

The fiction of the Premier championships being a second team championship was going to have to collide with reality someday...

Ah they will hardly hold the premier 4 up for another four weeks? It's a week already since the semi final. I'd say it will be played in two weeks.

Agreed but how was let fester until this ridiculous. Also lot of lads at Premier level want to play 6 or 7 games max over a year over 2-3 month. Whereas this has dragged all season. I can't Remember the start date now.

Sorry, that was a bit of a typo, I meant 'in two weeks', after the next round of first team so around the 26th of July

Ya, but i would expect it to be mid week rather than the same weekend as the first team or it would defeat the purpose of allowing the same players to play that have played all year as players would be held back or unable to play 2 games in 2 days

Mid Week junior finals are a war crime.

Ah you couldn't play a final mid week for god's sake. I'm sure it will be played 23rd/24th that weekend. Didn't hear anything about last night meeting. It could go either way to be fair.

County board blessed that two intermediate teams are in the Premier 4 final. Could you imagine it was a senior v Intermediate final.

Proposal by cccc was ruled out of order last nite so it won't come into effect another words players that played first team championship can't play 2nd team which will leave alot of teams short players

Well i've heard now that they didn't change it last night. I can't see how they can be so incompetent, not to see that it is an easy fix to a complete mess. I know we will have to give a walkover now for the final now anyway as don't have the numbers to fill a team at this stage. I'm absolutely gutted now and completely disgusted with the county board. clearly have no respect for the players, clubs or the second team championship
