Replying To padaly:  "Not only good learning for Vinny last night but for the Blayney club as well. Lucky they had a dress rehearsal before the Armagh game. So much to improve upon. Enough has been said about the PA announcer/ system but a lack for stewards, pitch not in great knick (grasses looked long/ few bony areas), not enough match programmes, the list could go on. Hopefully they get everything sorted before the start of Feb for what should be a fantastic occasion."
Never liked Blayney for a game! Especially this time of year. 4500 at Armagh v Antrim game other night. V.little Antrim people there. Is Blayney big enough for the game? The stand has 2000 seats? not great space on the opposite side for supporters

Its going to be a full house, at least 10,000 at it, armagh will travel in massive numbers, there will ave to be a serious traffic management, steward, turnstile and garda presence at it to accommodate.

I hope you are joking .. there will be no more then 4K or so at it. There was hardly anymore then 30K at the AL semi Finals.

Does Blayney hold 10,000, or even 5000? The only suitable place for supporters is the stand and open seating. The bank is not safe behind the goals (especially this time of year) and the far side of the field is not equipped for a large number of supporters.

Parking is also shocking - not one car park around beside the ground. How it ever got the title of 2nd County ground I'll never know. Probably a brown envelope job.

I thought Michael McCarvile had a great game against Down, out of the two midfielders on show, he was most mobile and was able to get into space to receive the ball and when in possession he looked to move the ball forward as quick as possible,,

There was 4k at Armagh Antrim McKenna cup game Wednesday so reckon by at least 8,000 for league game in Blayney

Michael has many talents, mobility isn't one. He's a better footballer than hughes for sure but he's not fit enough for midfield at club level never mind county. We were destroyed around the middle v Down.

He's one of the few good young players that didn't come back this year which is a shame cause Monaghan need all they can get. The forward line would be better for them

Agree, probably the worst venue to host that upcoming league opener. People coming from Crossmaglen could be safer walk, than drive!

Can anyone cast any light on why Aaron mulligan is no longer involved with the set up if true. Just seems odd he was the next big thing a few years back hugely talented player and was an ever present on the 2021 side that reached ulster final. Vinnie was saying in interview after down match the other they were looking for players which is strange if mulligan is being cast aside. Clearly some issue with him.

Garland a very good player, his height probably his undoing at county level.

The 2 Canavan boys wldnt be much bigger and Tyrone have no issue with that. Woods is a big lad n he's not there either!!

Issue not with Mulligan as I believe he rejoined the panel this season and then got dropped before Christmas. I've heard a few players weren't too happy with the decision too. Strange as right when Vinnie says he's looking for young players when a willing young player like that has been forced out of the panel.

Woods is not there by his own choice.
