I was in the stand so can't vouch for conditions around the rest of Cusack Park. It seems the timber seats are being replaced and the place has got a lick of paint including the dressing rooms. But it's more than a lick of paint that's needed. Not sure what the plan is but no doubt funds dictate.

When was the last county board fundraiser before the quid games one last Sept? Money was raised for the county footballers to go on Tailteann holiday. Other county boards have annual fundraisers

The walkathon was only the year before that and a lot of money was raised for that if I remember rightly.

Croke Park gave €50,000 towards team holiday which should have been quite sufficient for them to go away somewhere a lot closer and cheaper than Mexico where they ended up going.

The walkathon was going terribly until The Moore's in New York donated 10 grand to give it momentum. Quid Games pales in comparison to the likes of fundraisers done by Clare & Roscommon recently. Can't keep going to the clubs with the begging bowl to raise money on their behalf.

It's not a big job to sweep areas clean it doesn't cost much to buy a sweeping brush … it's the little effort made from the county board is what I refer too … and wasn't there a big fundraiser for the enhancement works in cusack park … 100,000 to be exact. Toilet facilities are a disgrace

Majority of GAA clubs have 1 or 2 part time workers on FAS scheme to help maintain and clean the pitches and facilities, are there any based in Cusack park?

100% agree. No running water in the taps on the terrace side of the ground for most games I was at last summer.

Will there me a reaction (positive or negative) from wicklow this weekend with the manager suspended. Sometimes these incidents work for a group, a type of, us v them, mentality. Still expecting a win from westmeath but aughrim always a hard spot to pick up points. Any word on injuries update, heslin was with the team against clare and maguire was tagged out.

As far as I know Maguire's reason for being out was an eye injury sustained in training.
Also heslin was away for a while but I think he's also injured.

Tricky game in Aughrim. I would like to see Scahill, Harte and Mccormack not been frozen out from the team and leave the obvious older few in the back line coming from the bench. Loughlin injury is a concern hope fully he will be available for latter stages.

The Aughrim saying has been going around for decades. There is no basis for it. If you actually look at Wicklow's home results over any length of time , it's one of the easiest away fixtures there is.

What is wrong with loughlin ? Big blow if true down 2 out of your 3 marquee forwards in loughlin and heslin.
I think Conor McCormack is injured too?

How are they frozen out? We've won both matches in league, difficult to make changes with the exception of John Hes, great to have calibre of those lads you mentioned on the bench, think Conor Mc was injured for Clare match, likes of Forde and Martin were influential off the bench last day, wing backs the last day scored 1-2 so hard to see who Nigel and Daniel would replace.

Throw in 1.00 pm and yes there is plenty of parking inside the grounds.
