Not a standout result but I thought James would beat Killanin.

Kinda disappointed with Michaels too. I like to see the city teams do well, although Moycullen could nearly be classed as a city team at this stage.

Agree with three of those, I'll give a cheeky thumbs up to Tuam in the other one. Feel they might cause an upset.

If they play like they did v Cortoon on Sat they haven't a hope..
I couldn't believe the terrible shooting from both sides in the game. What are the coaches doing at training? Or are they doing anything ..

Think Oughterard will edge it but I can't really call. It's set to be an absolute cracker. I can't remember the last time these two faced off in the SFC

MB were lucky to get through in the end, after the bad beating they got from Leitir Mór at the weekend. If Headford had beaten Gabriel's instead of the unexpected draw, I believe MB would have been put on scoring difference.
They're still one of the favourites to win it though and it looks very open from here.

I'm assuming the draw was completely open. A bit unfair if so. Tuam who won their group got drawn against another 1st place team in Moycullen.
Killannin who finished behind Tuam got a 2nd place team in Oughterard.
I know which one of those teams will be happier with the draw they got.

Agree on that point, but sure the whole draw is a mess, as is Galway football.
Still no word on getting Pj out..
I'd say at this stage they are keeping quiet and hoping we (the support) forget about it..
Pj was in Tuam Stadium watching club games over the weekend.

He's obviously not going anywhere. Some of our senior players will walk and I can't say I blame them

And we'll play some beautiful attacking football that will be admired by the entire country so long as our opponents hand us the ball

It's gone beyond a joke at this stage. Delighted to hear PJ got out to the home of football. Hopefully he recognised Eoghan Kerin.

Kerin was the standout player for me at the weekend. But he won't come back for the guy who got rid of him..
Joyce is staying as confirmed by Tuam Herald today..

Agree Kerins should be involved in the Galway panel but he was roasted by Barry Goldrick for 45 minutes on Sunday. He did not lay a glove on him. Kerins was harshly dismissed from the Galway panel but has being putting in good performances for Annaghdown since then. He is a far better defender than a lot of the Galway panelists.

Unless the players were going to oust him, it was the inevitable result. I mentioned a few weeks ago that he had a 3-year term. That's why the county board felt no need to communicate anything. As far as they were concerned, the was nothing to communicate.
At the very least he needs to completely overhaul the backroom team. If we're to do anything at all next year.

The players I believe will not take this well..
Nearly all voted for a change..
Expect turmoil

To be fair the 3/4 times I've seen Goldrick over the last few years, no one has laid a glove on him. Possibly too diminutive for the demands of the modern intercounty athlete however.
