Deadly ...the McGillacuddys were serious players. So were the Davis boys although it was a small bit before their time.. I see them in the subs. Right few Bradys there as well. Brings back memories of football in the 90s and some serious teams around even though Baltinglass and then Rathnew dominated. I know it's mostly nostalgia now. But if we remember those days of the 80s and 90s, we had a senior inter county team of some quality. Those memorable matches with Kildare and Meath. I suppose the lesson here is Strong Clubs = Strong inter county teams.

Supersub FYI Eire Og won the replay easily it wasn't by a point but was Eire Og 15 points to An Tochar 1-6.

Will there still be members of that group standing on the bank in Aughrim next year shouting the most abhorrent abuse at match officials? I was close enough this year to hear what they were shouting at the referee and they should be ashamed of themselves for the abuse they were shouting.

In my opinion that was a significant result for the Rocks to win the U15 hurling. Congrats to them. It would be great to think that Gaelic Games in general and not just football were on the rise in Arklow. I don't know the makeup of this team and would like to think that a town the size of Arklow and its hinterland could field a team from the area. If memory serves they won a minor a few years ago but were joined up with Avondale. Not much has evolved from that particular venture - as yet anyway. Still, it's early days. Indeed , I was also encouraged to see this. I am hoping there is a hurling renaissance of sorts underway in Arklow , similar to what AGB have been doing for football in the town over the past few years. The rocks were a real force of Wicklow hurling in the 70s & 80s and it would be great for Wicklow Hurling to get to a point where we have senior teams operating out of all the bigger towns in the County - Arklow, Wicklow, Greystones & Bray.

Totally agree. Bray have been a puzzle for years regarding football. Loads of underage strong teams but after minor they seem to disappear. Fair play to Greystones and Pats and now Arklow seem to be getting their act together, but Bray seem to struggle.

Well done to Bray Emmets for making it to the Leinster final and also, it took a replay for Bray to win the county final against Glenealy. This proves that there is talented hurlers in the county if proper structures are implemented and harnessed. I've criticised Bray Emmets in relation to football but it may be a case that Bray are prioritising hurling ahead of football. Hopefully they can win the Leinster final and have a good crack at the All Ireland. Just look at Naas, won the intermediate last year and built on it this year at senior level. They put up a decent display against Ballyhale yesterday.

U19 A final should be a cracker. These two teams have been nip and tuck from minor up for the last few years. Never much more than 1 pt between then- mostly for Eire Og. Still it should be a cracker.
