Just after hearing€20 for adults to county final,still €2 for all under 16s..however charging €15 for oap,s is bloody disgraceful..do others think this is very dear or am I the only one complaining..are there any club people who can ask the county board about this?it is a bugbear of mine since club games came back..all juinor games were priced €10..do the Gaa in limerick not realize that people havnt got spare cash after the past 18 months..costly day out for any family now..ah well I guess I'll watch tg4 now..

I know there are 2 finals,but for a family day out now it is to costly..husband,wife and 2 children €44..add a programme and close to €50..have you noticed that a lot of the same people are actually going to the matches?there is no special offers like in nearly every other county..the under 21 championship also starts this week and this is more cost on people..

For a single person working twenty euros is reasonable value but for couples going with family's it can be an expensive outing . it doesn't help then when you meet some unappreciative individual on the gate when your going in whos only their because their getting paid and hardly knows whos playing.
Should be two good matchs and its the highlight of the local hurling calendar in a year which our county team won the Liam McCarthy again and hurling interest is at an all time high there should be a sizable crowd there. It will also pull a lot of viewers on TG4 on Sunday talking to a few people from other counties who were looking forward to watching it . Judging by TG4s viewing figures other Sundays quarter of a million people will probably watch the Limerick hurling final Sunday.

Looking forward to a good final on Sunday, obviously hoping for a Patrickswell win but the Well and Kilmallock is always a 50/50 game and usually very good hurling.

Kilmallock with a good win. They will relish that county title as at the start of the championship I doubt they were many people's bet.
Double celebration in the South with Effin winning the Intermediate. Great achievement and they will give Prem Intermediate a fair rattle.
Congrats to Mungret also, been putting in fierce work over the years and its looking to be bearing its rewards.
Really not a fan of not having this back on the county forum, hopefully a few more of the great posters can come back and keep this going. I always enjoyed seeing the banter back and forth and there were great discussions.
Also really liked and appreciated the Football forum as would not be in the know as some

Have to agree,most people on only wanted to discuss their own county and maybe the odd time venture into another county's forum..it was great to see ideas or arguments about local issues being discussed..I do find admission prices is an interesting topic at moment,good to see most people agree that Gaa officers are mostly taking advantage of the online ticket stuff..

County Senior championship completed and the focus switches onto the preparations for next year's tilt at 3 in a row AI titles. First up a well deserved trip for the players to enjoy the fruits of their labours and to whet the appetite for more.
Securing the management team for another few years was great to see. It is never a given and for me was a relief albeit expected. The loss of mikey kiely as with Joe o connor will be negotiated in a professional manner. Advertising the post was an excellent move. Why not get the best that's available rather than in house. Seeing the job spec released must have raised an eyebrow or two around the hurling world. In Black and white the standards were set for next year.
The club championship brought a freshness for the first time in a few years. Granted the same 4 were there again but the ballybrown, liberties, kildimo pushed the established 4 much closer this year than years gone by. The gap is closing. The standards set by the likes of NaP are being met across the county. This can only be good. Even the winners of the prem int championship look like a serious outfit on and off the pitch .
Looking to next year the initial loss of Peter casey for the league and early parts of munster championship should intensify training nicely. Likes of David dempsey will have his eye on that jersey as will 5 or 6 others. Cathal o neill will have a year under his belt, Darren o connell is improving all the time. The likes of oisín o reilly and Adam English will get a look imo. I was very impressed with Robbie Hanley and David Reidy for their clubs this year. Hanley looks a right prospect now to bolster options in midfield which to me was the one place where I felt we needed it.
Looking at the lines barry hennessy had a super county final and looks to be improved on a year or two ago. The FB line is stacked with Finn Morrissey Richie Casey and Nash. The HB line with Byrnes Hannon Hayes Coughlan POL?. The HF line with now back up of Reidy Boylan English O Neill and the inside line could have a depth chart of about 9 top level forwards.
The main focus for next year will be hunger. If the players really want it they can achieve the 3 in a row. Managerial appointments around the country were interesting. Shefflin to Galway the obvious one. He has a rebuilding job to an extent in Galway and really needs to change up their forward unit. There are a few lads in Galway that will need convincing. It's incredibly rare that an outside manager wins the AI esp one with zero inter County experience but i understand the renewed hope in Galway people as shefflin is a big name. Kk must not be happy at all with this.
All in all roll on the all stars enjoy the turkey and have a right cut off it next year. It you want it it's yours.

They don't have 30,000 people in their catchment area and aren't hoovering up underage titles. They could certainly win a senior in 5..some very good players. Football will probably become an issue similar to Cratloe where equal opportunity is given to both codea and they struggle come the knock out stages in both Championships. Loughmore Castleligney are another one who are stretched thin over both codes..

Paddy opted out for the year just gone for his own reasons but outside that I've no idea. I'd like to see him brought back in if he was in a position to do so.
As for the u20s I'm not sure we'll see too much of a sprinkling but we'll definitely see English and obviously o neill and coughlin who were there already.

A fella I've been very impressed by is Quilty from blackrock..ferocious work rate and very tigerish in his attitude..I'd like to see Robbie Hanley get some time,highly impressive this year with killmallock and looked like a man who was getting to the potential everyone knew about...

Is that Jimmy Quilty's son? Robbie Hanley was great in the county final. Massive work-rate too. Oisin O'Reilly should definitely challenge next year. He has more scoring potential than some of the half-forwards that come on as subs and has an eye for goal. Looking at the county championship, what was televised in senior at least, I am not seeing many obvious candidates to replace Peter Casey or Barry Murphy. We seem to have mighty options further back the field but not for the corner-forward role.
