Think the idea to kill off the County Forums is absolutely nuts, but considering we had a very good home page, with some excellent posters discussing limerick hurling and football no harm in seeing can we replicate it on here.

The next month is when fellas will put up their hands if good enough as the knock out starts. On Sunday in the senior can Ronan Connolly control Cian, will Josh Considine have a big performance for the 'well, will young Mike Houlihan put up a big score for Kilmallock? In the other levels similar questions will be asked.

The well got 4 points in last few minutes to beat adare..killmallock had to go to extra time to beat liberties..ahane won relegation game to stay in senior a,Ballybrown down..Monaleen relegated to premier intermediate, murroe gone to intermediate..a few criticisms of Gaa officials in past few days,no scoreboard for 2 senior relegation matches..surely it wouldn't take much..also under 19 semis played last Tuesday, not even an a4 sheet with a list of the 4 panels, not everyone attending knows all the players..I don't think it's much to be asking, especially when charging €10 entrance..

I'm back again with a serious gripe..county final played in Gaelic grounds last night at under 19 level..€10 entry for adults, oap,s €6 and then under 16s being charged €2..are other counties charging juveniles to gain entry?surely promoting the game and get more youngsters going should be the idea..also not s sign of a programmer or even a sheet of paper with a list of both panels..not the first time it has happened and it shows a complete lack of respect for both clubs and all supporters who attend these games..we all don't know who the players are, county board get your house in order..don't start ruining what has been s few great years in limerick..

Its hard to know how we won an all ireland with some of the county boards carry on , they would go down your throat for the tenner but wouldnt see the merit in a team sheet for county semi finals. Some officials on the gate could badly do with a customer service course in basic manners.
To be fair for the Senior, Intermedite,Junior fixtures there is a programme which is good although some clubs have the same teams in since the first rounds .

2Eur isn't bad in fairness, county boards will be down alot of income these times. Agree there should have been a list of players available.

Southsham €2 for every age child up to 17..paying for a child of 5 or 6 years of age,please..I would also agree that some of these officials are not the most approachable..I agree the programmed for weekend games is top class but clubs just naming same 15 for every game is ridiculous..how do people feel about senior hurling semis being played at the same time as semis in football?

Is there that much of a rush to end up with both sets of semi finals on the same day. On a different note both codes are throwing up the same teams a lot in recent years. The remaining 4 in the hurling are the same as last year and in the football NCW , Adare and Monaleen are very regular semi finalists.
Be interesting to see attendances Sunday, what sort of crowds at Gaelic Grounds double header Football semi finals ( 2 venues). Have some people got used to not going matchs during covid ?

15 Nominations.
I think 10 could be expected. Finn,Nash, Byrnes, Hayes,WOD, DOD, T Morrisey, Lynch, Casey, Flanagan. A resonalbe case can be made for the remaining 5 also

Southsham I'm almost totally in agreement..I think DOD will miss out..for the life of me I can't figure why Nicky isn't a definite..Murphy is a very good keeper but only for Hawkeye his year would have been a disaster..I can't remember anything wrong from Nicky or any mistakes..puckouts are unbelievable..

Something you wouldn't have had before with the old county forums is an interloper like me from Wexford jumping in on something like this. You can decide for yourselves whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. :)

Anyway...we've no U19 level in Wexford, but am guessing it's regarded as an adult competition there rather than a Coiste na nOg one? Equivalent here would be the U20 championships. My own club reached a final this year, and while entry was €10 for adults all right, there was no charge for children (up to 16) or OAPs (with the relevant GAA proof of age card).

There was no admission charge at the semi-finals. Teams drew for home advantage and so the matches just went ahead at club grounds.

We had a simple programme at the final as well, handed out for free - a cover, both squad lists, and a few miscellaneous details about other stuff on the back.

No charge here either for children or OAPs at regular adult club championship matches, up to the county finals. Then there's a reduced rate for OAPs, but children are still free.

Admission to underage finals here (i.e. up to U17) is €5 for adults, and free for children and OAPs.

Don't know what they do in other counties, but seems your Limerick board has a bit of a "grab whatever cash we can" attitude anyway!

CTGAA10, Agree Murphy is a very good keeper, with KK being Leinster winners they will get 1 and I think he will get it. The more I think of it, Dan Morrisey will be hard to leave out. His impact when introduced can't be underestimated, was a big reason we have a Munster this year

Pikeman you are talking a lot of sense in your post..I forgot to mention there is an under 21 competition due to start in next two weeks also..all matches fixed for midweek and I take it they'll all be at neutral venues due to floodlights..I will go to hurling semis but I'd like to see one of football semis but due to a clash it can't happen..going by the posts I'm the only one who seems to have a problem other posters very quite on the matter..it does like as if the county board are trying to get every penny possible from people now after a bad 12/18 months.

Don't know what it was like in the old Limerick forum, but you're the only one here talking about it anyway!

Would have to agree that asking €2 per child to attend a match is a bit much, particularly as most of them up to the age of 8 or 9 or even more probably won't even be looking at much of it, as they play around with their friends instead. I know that's what our lad (aged 8) does at matches anyway. He'll watch maybe five minutes at a time, then mess around with the other lads for 15 or 20 minutes.

Could also be a significant cost to families over the course of a few months. Our lad's best friend is from a family of five kids, aged from 4 up to 14. Their parents bring all five to every match the club plays as well. A good GAA family like that shouldn't be hit for an extra €10 a go every time they want to bring their children to support their club.

The county hurling final is on 24 October and the winners won't be in Munster Club action until 12 December. The football winners won't be in Munster Club until 19 December. Don't know what the rush is in getting the county semifinals / final played.

Alternatively, why not start the Munster Club in November?

As a side note - the Gaelic Grounds and Kilmallock must be some pitches seeing that they appear to be standing up to the volume of games being played in each of them.
