Sad news for Ciaran Thompson, he looked very upset leaving the pitch at the time, I didn't realise how bad it was. He had his best year in a Donegal shirt, one of the unsung heroes. Green_Gold (Donegal) - Posts: 1931 - 18/08/2025 18:31:01 2632528 Link 0 |
Best wishes to Ciaran and hopefully a speedy recovery. SouthOfTheGap (Donegal) - Posts: 869 - 18/08/2025 22:45:13 2632558 Link 0 |
The Streaming service seems to be working well also. I was hesitant to use it in the first weekend, just to see what the quality was like but picked up a game on weekend 2 and was very impressed by it. peiledoir20 (Donegal) - Posts: 1332 - 19/08/2025 11:51:51 2632641 Link 0 |
The prices are steep. It would need to be good quality.

I agree. That's why I was hesitant to purchase on the first weekend. Similarly I've watched a few LOI games on their stream at 3 euros cheaper per match but the quality on some of their are abysmal in comparison.

I think it's to keep the price of the stream the same as the price at the gate so as not to do clubs out of money i.e. it's not cheaper to watch online vs go to the game. Fair enough in my opinion.

Very sorry to read this. He has given so much for club and county over the years.

Are co.finals O Donnell park this year ? Whyme923 (Donegal) - Posts: 69 - 21/08/2025 09:29:08 2632910 Link 0 |
You'd think if its a Naomh Conaill and St. Eunans final Ballyshannon might be neutral for it? The_Second_Coming (Donegal) - Posts: 32 - 21/08/2025 10:57:40 2632929 Link 0 |
I suppose if it's Euanans v anyone it couldn't be at O'Donnell park.

I am not sure they would have to move it. mac Cumhaills were involved in a county final in 2004 i think and it was played in Mac Cumhaill park

I posted something like this and not sure where it went. Also the hurling final is always played in the O'Donnell park even if eunans are in it. The good stand sets it apart from ballyshannon.

It should be set now where the county final will be played and if its O'Donnell park it gets played there regardless who is in the final. To be honest if Naomh Conaill are lucky enough to make it this year and have to meet Eunans I would want the game in O'Donnell park. naomh_conaill_4 (Donegal) - Posts: 505 - 22/08/2025 16:04:53 2633131 Link 0 |
Well with one round of fixtures to go, how do we see things shaping up? Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9983 - 25/08/2025 14:22:38 2633529 Link 0 |
I would agree with that, think MacCumhaills are going well too and conversely to your statement I think MacCumhaills have some great forwards but not 100% confident on their defence! It really is hard to tell with other clubs considering some of their county men are in and out of teams. I did tip Glenties before the Championship but with Thompson out injured I will tentatively give the nudge to St Eunans although they have been far from convincing. It has been a pretty decent championship so far with a lot of tight games, I do think they need to look into the lack of jeopardy of the championship but. Four rounds of games to knock just 4 teams out of it, probably needs looked into.
