WE seem to be exporting our 2012 heroes to other counties. Is it financial or is there a cold house in Donegal for our own.Surely Colm mc Fadden could have been given a role in Donegal.

Don't be speaking ill of them or our 'glorious' leader will take umbrage.

So who are these other players who are pulling out of the squad? Very senior, fringe or middle of the road?

About of speculation going about so better not for anybody to be commenting on the rumours for the time being.

There's nobody stopping anybody from going for the main jobs. Easy giving out but very few putting there names forward for these jobs, exact same with the manager position there were plenty talk all last year about what should be done but when the crunch came very few were interested. Clubs are there to nominate people . If there were big big money involved there would be a big interest. Easy criticising good gaa people.I said about a couple of weeks ago about people leaving the squad and there is more. I know

I get what you are saying, no point people speculating and starting rumours that may or may not be true. The problem is that there is a communication vaccum and unfortunately that is filled by rumours. The county board don't seem to communicate with the media and the new management team have been left hanging out to dry.

Why is paddy carr not coming out and explaining how things are going.ie backroom team . Squad etc. I'm sure the local press are keen to find out what's happening.. the quieter things are the rumour mill get stronger.. we're all Donegal people who want Donegal going well contrary to what certain people are saying.

Martin McHugh made an 'interesting' point that there's only Paddy left from the 2012 team and Ryan from the '14 final.
I hope someone that has the conditioning to last a full game gets made captain. We can't have our captain being hauled off out of breath after 50mins of every game.
It's hard to pinpoint a player that's been consistently good when we've been bad, maybe outside of Eoin Ban.

All this uncertainty stemmed at the top table. They created this vacuum from the beginning with their secrecy. All communication had to be through the Chairman. Well apart from bad news (Michaels Retirement), the PRO can do that.

Who were the 3 person committee?

Who was actually nominated? And of those nominated, how many were actually interested?

Was Rory Kavanagh offered the job? And if so, why did he withdraw? Was it financial or other reasons?

I have genuine questions which no one will answer. It is clear that Fanad Gaels nominated Paddy Carr, which is completely understandable, and a proud day for their club.

It is being depicted that O'Rourke was himself nominated for the managers job. Can this be clarified? From all reports I have gotten, he is a devisive character. To me, he appears to be a square peg in a round whole. Who's decision was it to bring him to the party? Was he hoist upon Carr in the same way I believe that Rochford was hoist upon Declan?

On the player front, was Michaels retirement due to the above? We are all in a vacuum, are the players also being treated with similar disdain? I'm not for players making the rules, but they have to be included.

Others will say that these controversies are media creations. I don't believe they are. They are also being treated like incompetents, excluded from County Board meetings.

Roll on Convention. And I hope that the Delegates engage in some critical thinking beforehand, and are not just being used as pawns by those at the top table.

Why would a manager need to come out and give a status update on squad or backroom team. People need to let him get on with his job.
As for these players who are supposed to not be coming back, let them run on, the names I heard are easily replaced. The county Jersey is bigger than any of them and i'm sure there's plenty players who will come in and give 100% and will regard it as an honour to represent this great county.

Well if I was manager and hearing the stories going about I would come out and try and keep thing's positive. An example is players not being contacted by management 3 weeks after an announcement. Hopefully this is not true because I want paddy carr to do well. He comes across well.

Good man get onto your club now and get new faces in to see what difference they'll make. Maybe even get them to nominate yourself. Time for the talking to stop we need action.

No problem with your questions lad all I'm saying to the people who are not happy go to your club and do something about it.. I'm not the person moaning I know from experience of being on a board and managing that they're both thankless jobs but somebody has to do it. Plenty rubbish talk about managers and county board officials on line this last few years yet when the time to talk came very little wanted to do anything. Too many keyboard warriors and not enough workers.

You definitley aren't a worker anyway Rory. Being on here 24/7!

Serious questions need to be asked of the county board in my opinion, a lot of bad things that I'm hearing unfortunately.
