Replying To williesboy:  "He is in the running for it along with a couple of others. Interviews next week. Other candidates is a successful manager of the older generation and another manger very successful at club level in Connaught."
Kevin O'Neill (Corofin) it's is so.
Great appointment if true.

Hasn't even been interviews yet but don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.

According to men in the know the interviews are a formality.

Haters will always hate, gloaters will always gloat, both traits are usually displayed by self serving people. The rest try to pull together for the good of friends and neighbours in GAA. The first 2 groups should try it, it's less energy sapping and more rewarding. I have even noted in some winners interviews recently the appreciation and thanks didn't extend much beyond the interviewee. Anyway, narcissism is becoming more common in all aspects across life this millennium, I just hope decency makes a bit of a comeback and wins out and the haters stay away from here, we come here because we like GAA, it is our passion, not our outlet for hate or other unwelcome traits.
Best of luck to our champions and representatives Mullinalaghta this weekend, kepp putting in the hard shift and you will do the county proud as always lads. Play hard and play fair.

Don't know anything about the hurling manager, who's the front runner.
Hope this new sit season might encourage clubs to start investing in underage hurling, no reason killoe, Drumlish, Balkymahon etc shouldn't be opening up to hurling, his knows we might be better at this than football at county level

Embarrassing for Mullinalaghta. Had the game wrapped up at half time then went home! Didn't score in the second half.

They have to be able to take the good with the bad. Today was bad..... Very very bad. Pull your head out of the sand and give it a good shake Leitrim boy.

Hard luck to Mullinalaghta. A bit of a 'weekend horribilis' for Longford clubs in general. Bizarre collapse by Mullinalaghta with home advantage against a Blessington side who were 1-5 to nil down after 30 minutes... hard to fathom how Mullinalaghta couldn't register a score in the second half. Killashee beaten to a pulp in Intermediate and Legan beat out of the park in Junior. Hard on all three clubs - a weekend to forget.

Focus will now be on the remaining domestic games to decide the destination of this years league titles in Division 1 and 2 next month. 'Football in December' I think they call it.

That was very very disappointing. Can't believe mullinlaghta throwing that game away. Completely on top and then just stop playing. Very unlike them, experts at seeing out wins. Good luck to blessington for the rest of the campaign.

Experts at seeing out wins? Didn't Colmcille, Slashers & St. Loman's catch them from behind? They don't convert possession into enough scores & subsequently leave opposition teams in games.

thats 3 games in 6 seasons you have mentioned. i would say winning 3 in a row, a leinster and a 4th with plenty of games with narrow margins as being experts in seeing out games. mullinlaghta giving up a seven point lead? after all i have seen of them over the years im stunned. leader cup now at the weekend, mullinlaghta should see it through against clonguish and killoe to beat colmcille

I'm saying it's because they are trying to "manage" games they have been losing to inferior teams. The county final against Mostrim should've been practically over by halftime.

Any white smoke on managerial front. Pre-season starts in a week or so. Not much time to get a backroom team or panel together.

Well it won't be Liam Keenan he's going back to where he started his underage football career to manage Slashers.

Can't understand this. Maybe the CB are working very hard in the background to get the right team in place, maybe no one wants the job or maybe this will just be an other CB cluster F
Last county to appoint a manager and one of the 1st to know we needed one.
