Replying To Oddball:  "I heard on good authority that this is not a shock the the CB. Apparently both statements were released last night but decision was made weeks ago. And also the new or old manager has already been offered the job. Denis Connerton is taking it again after re-signing from Garrycastle. Apparently he re-signed so he can fully commit to Longford by attending all games possible no mattee, Senior, Intermediate or Junior. The CB seem to be going backwards!"
Dennis is not taking the job

County Board decision.

Longford Leader says Ciaran Fox, Liam Keenan or Pat Flanagan. Hard to argue with any of them.

If Micky Graham was available then he'd be a good choice.

Anyone at the Ballymahon v Ardagh Moydow game. Looking at the score on Twitter it looks like Ardagh Moydow were getting well beaten but made some sort of comeback. Maybe there were substitutions or another reason for this.

Based on that result though it doesn't look that Ardagh Moydow will be a contender but Ballymahon will be there or thereabouts again this year.

I'd say someone like Dominic Corrigan would have his eye on the Longford job as well. He'd have lots of time on his hands to do it as well having retired from the day job recently. I doubt Mickey Graham is available but one for the future maybe.

Ciaran fox for the reason he could get a few more St Columbus players in but I don't think that's the right reasons.
Keenan would be out of his dept and won't get the buy in from players and why didn't he throw his name into the hat for it after leaving Mohill?
Flanagan won't touch it either after been shafted last year.
The county board should go hard after Graham, he will go from Cavan if it's worth it for him.

it was not a board decision, you think they want the hassel of finding a new manager after how it was left last minute last year?! this was the players with a couple leading the charge and would be better of looking at themselves then blaming management for poor results!! i would prefer to see a longford man take the job but mickey graham is as good as with his inside knowledge if he becomes available its a no brainer

If I was Mickey Graham i wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. The CB might struggle to attract external interest. Will probably end up being a local, out of necessity more than anything else.

It was mentioned to me over the weekend that Dominic Corrigan would be interested in taking the job. One of his selectors would be his nephew Collie Clarke who would have good knowledge of the local scene. If they are going outside the county they need to get a manager in before the end of the group stages of the championship. Give the manager a chance to see players in action in competitive club football.

Was down for Saturday last but reported as 'postponed' on county board social media late on Friday night.

It was postponed for some reason.

Have Killashee withdrawn from the senior championship ? Heard it this morning at work but they're still down to play in the fixture list.

Colmcille couldn't field, riddled with injuries.
Kilashee will compete in the senior championship

Killashee will have to play. If they don't the CB will hit them hard with suspensions and fines.

Does that mean Colmcille conceded the Leader Cup final or that it was postponed until later because of various injuries?

The game would have to be awarded to Mullinalaghta so. Didn't Colmcille forfeit a division 3 playoff a couple of weeks ago too because they couldn't field?
