I'd have thought the fenagh management would have stayed for another year. Big boots to fill but a very attractive job

Heard they were leaving but I could be wrong? Hard to know if they are good enough to get over the line

Well done to St. Mary's. From someone who has played club football in London recently that was a big result the quality in the top 2 or 3 London clubs is of a high standard. Hopefully now you go on and win this weekend I believe you are well capable.

Still no word on NFL league fixtures for leitrim?

No trials again this year for u20 team. Panel already put together and by the sounds of things not much has changed nearly the same as it was when this team was put together at u15/u16 level. Many promising players from this years championships left out for lads that haven't played for there clubs all year due to not being at that level yet. Surely a lad who's performing well for his club should be given a chance even if they haven't been involved at underage county level before. Can't remember when the last u20 game we won was and based on this news it doesn't bode well for next year.

Yeah what's the craic with that? All other Divisions have had fixtures announced.... I'd like to go to Ruislip but obviously can't until a date is announced!

Three players playing in the Dublin Senior league final last night who are eligible for Leitrim.

Darragh Rooney who had opted-out for the season has now opted back in.

And then Chris Guckian the Judes half back who has been in with Dublin previously and who has also been asked to play for Leitrim.

Michael Day who played Midfield for Na Fianna a Galway man who's mother is from Leitrim Village.
Na Fianna's captain from last year Niall McGovern who has also been in with Dublin would also have been playing but is travelling until after Christmas father was from Leitrim as has been spoken to in the past.

Some people turn up their noses at the 'parents rule' but with a county of our population and with the rate of people leaving these are the sort of players I feel we should try to be enticing to bring our panel to the next level.
I'm sure there's lots of other examples of players aswell.

Good to hear there has been new lads in training with the panel already.

Any word on who is in the panel? Would be interesting to see who has been overlooked.

Pretty much the same panel as it was with this team when they were u17s. Ino of at least 3 standout players in senior club championship that have been overlooked at the expense of some lads who haven't played much minutes for there adult clubs. The fact there is no trials though is farcical you wouldn't see it happen in any other county. Very unfair on young lads who have put in hard work all year not to be given the chance to compete against their peers. Another clear sign we are going backwards.

I seen Andy Moran and his management team at a lot of club games this year both intermediate and senior so I'm sure they have looked out for new players. Apart from Jack gilheaney who opted out what other clubs players would make a huge difference to the current squad?

I agree this option needs to be explored. Lots of county's have got some great players from Stronger counties, Roscommon, Westmeath,Clare to name a few. We could do with another Declan Darcy.

100% We had the Darcy's and the Wards back in the 90s.We all know loads of people from Leitrim living in Dublin, economic refugees if you will.Id have no problem seeing these lads lining out for us.If we want to progress it something we should be seriously looking into.

What happened Carrick yesterday? Conditions must not have been great as I see the Aughnasheelin game was moved today. Was a great opportunity for a Leitrim team to get to a final.

Absolute disgrace that Connacht Council could not have arranged for the Aughnasheelin v St. Dominic's game to be played elsewhere. They should have known that Pairc Sean couldn't take two matches on the one weekend or Cloone for that matter.

And particularly given the millions that were spend on a Centre of Excellence out the road in Annaduff. The Connacht Council don't seem to worrying too much about the cost of living crisis when people in Roscommon had already hit the road before the game was called off.

Shocking stuff shows the regard they have club football
I believe u20 game played in drumshanbo at 30 minutes notice today and pitch in very good condition considering
Also games played in annaduff, mohill, carrigallen think kiltubrid too
Pairc sean sees no training and least amount of games of any pitch in the county and in a shocking state

Cloone was playable. Both teams wanted to play but the reff said no and connacht council wouldn't go against his decision

Connacht GAA was moving it to bekan but Aughnasheelin said no to it as they believed that venue isn't good enough for a Connacht semi final.
