LG looked very good last night. Not too many teams would beat Marys by 9 points. They'll be very hard stopped.

Was at dromahair annaduff Friday very even game between 2 well matched sides. Dromahair led for the majority and showed great character to come back and get an equaliser late on.

Annaduff won't be stopped immediately please. They are extremely well balanced and very mature. They know how to grind out the results and are immovable. Thanks.

They're going well considering they seem to have a different team out each time they play, few injuries I think, if they've everyone available they should at least make the final but will get a very hard test from Allen Gaels. Gaels going great but last year's collapse against a team (pretty much) relegated from senior already tells you enough

Was at Leitirm Gaels v St Marys Friday evening. Hats off to Leitirm Village the way they pushed on and closed it out. Tight pitch suits them to bring the kickouts into a scramble, and they have the players there to win their own ball. Impressive side Leitirm Gaels, but St Marys weren't at the races at all. Where has it gone wrong for them? Bar their sharpshooter forward (who Poacher should be doing all he can to get back in the county setup), they have no real standout players. Yes, the team are great on the S&C side of things, but playing-wise, it seemed they were restricted, maybe the way their manager has them playing?

It seems to be a fairly open championship where a couple of teams could go all the way

Aughawillian v Glencar Manor - Manor favourites here and have too much firepower but the willies are hard bet and never give up.
Manor by 4.

Leitrim Gaels v Mary's - This is as an intense of a rivalry as you are likely to see in club championships this wknd. LM Gaels 1 to 15 is probably a bit stronger as Mary's have a few injuries/absentees to key forwards. The townies need this win more than the Gaels but there will be nothing in it.
Mary's by 1 with a late winner.

Ballinamore v Melvin Gaels - Bmore need the 2 points desperately, lucky for them they will get them handy enough in this round, just by how much they'll win by is the question.
Ballinamore by 10 minimum.

Fenagh v Mohill - Keith Beirne saved Mohill's bacon last weekend from all accounts, it's not the same Mohill as years gone by but you can never write them off. Fenaghs two O'Rourkes up front are moving well and they've an well balanced team with no weakness. If they don't do it this year they never will.
Fenagh by 2.

Intermediate
Annaduff v Dromahair - Annaduff at home but massively inconsistent. Dromahair have Conlon, Fowley, Gethins and Feeney all big threats. Darren Cox is Annaduffs main man and if Conlon can halt his scoring D'hair should nip this.
Dromahair by 2

Gortletteragh v Carrigallen - Gortletteragh should have enough here against a C'gallen team that had a very poor league and lost by 6 in the first round.

Ballinaglera v Drumkeerin - Another intense local derby, D'keerin are a well drilled side with two good coaches from all accounts and a comprehensive win the last day. If Drumkeerin don't let Glera into it early they'll win with comfort.

Kiltubrid v Bornacoola - Kiltubrid off the back off a terrible performance last weekend will be happy with the draw they got. Bornacoola are improved side from last year with the return of Mallon who is a game changer. One of these is staring down the barrel of a relegation battle.

St Mary's B v Allen Gaels - Allen Gaels are a well oiled machine. Transfer in of Kilcine from Roscommon a massive addition to the forward line and Jake Tobin to return. Can't see them being stopped this year in Intermediate. They should have been in senior 2/3 years ago and I'm betting on them to be there next year.

Some strange takes on things here , no doubt your colours are the royal blue and navey of the lough allen men . In terms of this weekends intermidiate game here are my HUMBLE opionions
ADUFF V DROMAHAIR . The n4 men should have enough to see off a dromahair team at best who had a average league. They are a stong physical outfit but annaduffs speed and youth should see them through especially know they are back to full strength. Annaduff by 6
GORT V CGALLEN . Gortlettragh looked flat in spells last week against allen gaels . carrigallen have been inconsistent all year . Carrigallen should have enough strenght in their backs to limit the impact of gorts young forward line with heavy dependence on quinn and the mcnulty brothers . Cariigallen will edge it by 1
BORS v KILTB . kiltubrid have been a limp effort all year boyle, croghan and the mallons will lead a promising team to victory on the day . bors by 3
DRUMKEERAN v GLERA . All set up for a tough physical encounter on the north side of luxourios lough allen . Could go either way , no doubt glera will have fire in the belly , going to say draw
AG v MARYS B . Just struggling to see all the allen gaels hype, good league and a impreesive league final no doubt , but it must be considered the quality of opposition they were playing at time . after last years bottle job and losing two consecutive semi finals to the same opposition where they were favourites both times , this team clearly have no temprement . Still should be enough to beat a underrated second string , allen gaels by 6"
Great shout on Carrigallen - on the button. Wouldn't rule them out for getting another win in this years championship. Were without 9 first team players for league but slowly getting men back. From what I have seen from a couple of games - Intermediate is def Allen Gaels to lose

Carrick seem to be one of the only teams that haven't embraced the new rules. They have some really good natural forwards but way to lethargic when attacking. Players are not been allowed to have a go. Much too sluggish and lateral. They are where they are because of this. Manor kicked 7 two pointers in their last game, Id be inclined to think carrick havent kicked 7 2 pointers all year.

St Mary's B vs Drumkeerin: Allen Gaels destroyed this St Marys second string outfit last weekend. Can't imagine Drumkeerin will inflict the same damage to them however. Young Casey back from the states and a few players to come back into the Mary's side but there will only be one result here and that's a Drumkeerin win. Can't see this Drumkeerin side being bet in the group stages, they are well drilled and are a massively physical side. Themselves and Allen Gaels to go straight through to semis.
Drumkeerin by 8 plus.

Carrigallen vs Bornacoola: Will be a close encounter. Carrigallen have recuperated from a poor league with a good performance last weekend. Bornacoola could be staring down the barrel of relegation here unless Damo Moran can pull something out of the bag for them.
Carrigallen by 3.

Dromahair vs Gortletteragh: Gortletteragh 2 losses so far. Dromahair seemed to be leading against Annaduff all game but a late rally from the home side ended in a draw. Dromahair be happy with a draw away from home and sitting comfortably on 3 points.
Dromahair by 4

Ballinaglera vs Annaduff: Annaduff be hot favourites on paper here. Glera not moving too well and are down a few bodies. However, Annaduff have been inconsistent going off results and you don't know what way they'll turn up away from home, but they should shade this.

Cill Tiobraid vs Allen Gaels: Kiltubrid played out an enjoyable game against Bornacoola. Young Foley the pick of the bunch, they will seriously miss him as its rumoured he's heading to America. Allen Gaels are full of firepower, the two Oberwans, Kilcine, McMorrow and Tobin back. They won't be stopped.
Allen Gaels by 6.

Regime change required. Should have happened last year. They need to get the next appointment right. Keep the players out of the process. Needs to be an outsider again even if this one didn't work.

I didn't get around to goin to glera vs Drumkeeran I seen the result I heard drumkeeran pulled away in the end who played well for each team?

Can't understand the need for a week off this weekend, surely run off the group stages, then a week off and run QF and Relegation finals off. This would allow all championships to be concluded sooner, looking at the master fixtures and expecting a replay or two we will be playing off championships into December. Now for a county who are always knocked out of the inter county scene in May or June this seems backward. We should be playing championship football in summer and concluded by September/October.
Allen Gaels look certain to go up, Melvin Gaels certain to go down, leitrim gaels will win senior and Manorhamilton will be the team with the most gained and plenty of optimism for the years ahead with such a young team.
With the new format and only 8 senior teams the team coming up from intermediate will likely always struggle to stay up if Melvin Gaels are anything to go by, have they won a game all year?
