Replying To The_analyser:  "Castlerea v Padraig Pearses U18 Division 1 decider finalky has date and venue confirmed

Saturday 25th Oct at 12 in Enfield.

The rumours that it might be a double header with the senior final on Sunday 26th hasn't become a reality.

First official game for Mark Dowd will be Leitrim in the FBD followed by a match with Mayo. Would like to think county grounds will be used for those matches but I don't hold out hope for that and I wouldn't be surprised if a competition ran by the Connacht GAA isn't played on the outdoor pitches in Bekan."
I can certainly see them playing the Finals in Bekan.
Hopefully the 2 League rounds will be in County grounds giving each team a home fixture.

Junior A final result St Croans 1-13 Ballinameen 0-7.

Routine win for Croans, got off to ideal start leading by 6 points in the opening 12 minutes and never looked back after that as led by 5 at half time and restricted Ballinameen to just 2 points 2nd half.

Their young players and county U20s Alan Conroy,Eoin Collins showed well as did Ryan Hanley. The more experienced Cathal Connelly,Aidan Brogan,Ross Timothy also stood out. Best of luck to them in the Connnacht championship against Sligo opposition I believe.

As for Ballinameen end of a good year for them, probably exceeded expectations to reach the final and today a bridge too far for them. Keane,Carlos,Wynne among those that showed well today.

Absolute disgrace that all our County finals and I'm including women's finals aren't played in the Hyde. For Gaelic people it's the ultimate snub to their efforts to support their clubs. Also another kick in the teeth to the business community of the town. Parking facilities no problem in Ros Town and a great atmosphere on finals day with supporters walking to their County ground for the respective final games in the respective grades.

Cant have double headers as only 2 dressing rooms.
Pitch maintenance works July/August means reduced use.
