So much for Brigids running away with things in the Roscommon championship this year. Had to settle for 2nd place in group and could get a real banana skin quarter final now.

Glaveys a decent team, semi-finalists last year and close to reaching the final, plenty of senior,U20 county experience in their ranks and managed by Iain Daly who was coach alongside Anthony Cunningham in Roscommon 2019 Connacht success when both Galway and Mayo was beaten away.

Glaveys had a great win last night. Brigid's looked like Roscommon did in Cunninghams final year with Roscommon. They looked like a team over coached and afraid to have a go. Brigid's biggest mistake was not trying to keep the Kerry man on after reaching all Ireland final because he had them playing Savage football. Clann looked good and elphin are safe. I watched elphin and western gaels late last night and elphin were the better team but both look like intermediate teams.

You're very naive if you think that. The mentality of the modern sports fan is they demand progress and success…Mayo is a pressure job. If Mayo don't progress to a quarter final or at least win a Connavbt title next year and shows big signs of progress, the pressure absolutely will be on Andy.

Great to see glaveys open up the championship and more impressive as they are down glennon. They are well conditioned for the modern game.

Elphin found their scoring boots 2-13 tonight to avoid a relegation play off and sent Western Gaels into one yet again.

Clann and Pearses with comfortable wins"
Well Holy God as Miley used to say! Didn't see that coming. Could that be Brigids Kerry v Meath moment or maybe they are not as safe a bet as most of us thought.

Huge win for Elphin fair play to them. Didn't see them able to rack up that score.

Pearses going into a prelim makes the final group games very interesting. Oran really have to go for it against Boyle now.

Well done Glaveys on their deserved win last night. Wake up call for our players. Lots of mistakes and taking wrong options and we were not up for the fight. They will learn a lot from the game.

Shows how competitive the roscommon championship is. Pearses ending up in third place and a preliminary quarter final.

Anyone can beat each other as this year has shown.
If anything it will get more people to the games which is good. Roscommon Gaels stand is excellent and helped the atmosphere

Still think one of St brigids Pearses and boyle will win the championship. Going to watch boyle tonight play against oran.

Is it Elphin v North Ros and Pearses v *Oran/Ros G/ Boyle in the Prelims?

*Oran most likely.

Obviously we need to process. I'd be happy with Connacht and a quarter final. It is pressure . But we are in transition and you are naive if you think otherwise. We need to be patient with Andy give him time it's a rebuild job .
