He was a great player for us years ago. Probably 2018 he left or maybe before. If he's back with Brigid's playing senior football and starting be interesting to see how he gets on. How did he do last night"
Mc inerney hadn't much to do
Gaels seldom kicked it in
He looked fit and actually moved well when getting forward
Stack was fantastic clubs actually will need to play a defender on him and he centre back
Conor hand was excellent first half did most damage with his pace
Cunnane mark daly and Nolan dominated midfield hands down
Daly taken off at ht I presume because he was floating close to a black or red
In fact there was more hard hits in the first half between the 2 sides than I seen ros seniors do all year.
Brigids are flying played really good sharp football won't be beaten if they stay in this condition in connacht never mind county
Best for gaels by a mile john mc next senan lambe who if he settles on producing final pass will be a proper player
O reilly did well on hand second half there pace battle was like watching 2 sprinters going at it
Grogan did well too when lots of gaels lads didn't
The gaels keeper saved 3 at least 1 on 1s as well or it would have been far worse

Being a doctor and his work schudle has taken up most of his time. Has played with Brigids B team in recent years. He turned 31 last week, has got himself in top shape, He did well last night or be it little was asked of him last night, might have been different if Rory Carthy, Peter Gillooly had played

I don't think it would have made a huge difference if Gaels had the lads mentioned playing. Brigids could have scored five goals last night. There's obviously a big chasm between the teams. Too many average defenders for the Gaels there last night. On last nights evidence it might be Pearses that are best placed for Brigids. It's Kiltooms to lose this year.

On the evidence of the O'Rourke Cup final last year it was Brigids championship to lose after they scored 4 goals against Roscommon Gaels in the final and beat them by a bigger margin than yesterday, Yet Brigids didn't reach the semi final while Roscommon Gaels improved to reach and give a competitive showing in the county final.

We were saying this last night in the bar afterwards. Stronger squad this year with players fitter and playing well compared to bigger final win last year. League has been good preparation with lots of players getting to play. Championship is different. Niall Mc was good. Frees up Brian Stack to go forward from center back. Attacked well last night and kept things tight at the back. Hoping for another trophy in October. It is in our lads to win it.
