Surprised to that ja mannion hasn't featured as he looked like a decent player..there are others hanging round the panel for a long time to..also I thought Jason Flynn has a cruciate problem??

Replying To John Doe:  "Only ones I'd put into this bracket would be Tuohy, Loftus and Niall Burke.
IMO only Tuohy may have contributed this year as a corner back as I think we are weak enough in that position to be fair but for me he does too much fumbling on the ball for a corner back.
Loftus has been tried time and time again and has failed to deliver so was definitely time to cut him from the panel.
Niall Burke sadly is just too slow for inter county hurling when you see the pace the likes of Waterford are bringing to the table now."
At least he was fashht enough to bate them in the last 15mins of the 2017 final.

Long time ago now… once upon a time stuff!

No major surprises; 2-3 more could have gone.

Having said that, it's a fine panel of players that Henry has. Just a matter of getting them going really.

Ultimately, everything is once upon a time stuff.

Bit like Cahill with Connors and Shanahan Shefflin will have his own ideas.

Why was Tuohy not seen as a corner back since 2018?

I'd say Ja's tendency to pick up silly red cards hasn't helped him the last few years. Jason Flynn picked up a serious hamstring injury 5 minutes into the first game of the year against Offaly in early January. Think it needed surgery.

With all the recent underage success in Galway hurling and the large hurling population you would imagine that Shefflin will have plenty to choose from and that Galway should be able to compete with anyone including Limerick and Waterford, etc.

I'm afraid Henry his scratching his head at the lack of Senior talent in Galway.

We may have to bring Davey Glennon back from Westmeath. And beg some of the Cannings and Connollys to forego retirement. lol.

Good for him. I'm glad to see Davy Glennon doing well too. I'd like to see Westmeath push even farther than they already have.

2023 new structure Championship 16 Senior A teams, 8 Senior B teams and 16 Intermediate teams.

Simple enough exercise, we've had a perhaps disturbingly consistent selection throughout the NHL.

Murphy
Grealish D.Burke Morrissey/Fitzpatrick
Mannion McInerney F.Burke/Killeen
J.Cooney Glennon
Monaghan C.Cooney Fahy
Concannon Whelan C.Mannion

Alternates:-
Goalie :- Fahy
Backs :- TJ Brennan + the 2 above
Midfield :- Coen & David Burke
Forwards :- Niland & Hastings

Might pull a couple of 'springers' in the next 2 weeks, into that 23. They're badly needed, and 'form springers' too.
