Tipperary have made strides this year but are not a top 4 team. Galway to win this one and move on

Last 3 Galway v Tipperary games in the GG all won by Galway.
2017 League Final, 2020 All Ireland QF and 2023 All Ireland QF.
In the words of Cahill Galway are very very dangerous and completely unpredictable they could hit you like a storm out of nowhere especially when you think they are not going well

So who are the 'top 4'?

I'd assume he'd have Cork, Limerick, Kilkenny and Galway, if he's predicting Galway to beat Tipp.
If we're anywhere like the last day, Tipp will beat us comfortably. However, I do think we have a chance.
Among the top 3, I think Kilkenny would definitely fancy themselves against Cork. But then I think Cork are better equipped to take on Limerick.
It'll all be answered soon enough in any case.

Limerick, Cork, Clare & Kilkenny...you might say where are Clare but for injury they are top 2.
This Tipp team have a lot of young and inexperienced and Galway will have confidence in turning them over.
Galway have done well in Q Finals and I fancy this to continue.

I get that you can only beat whats in front of you but they have had lapses in games against average opposition like Dublin/Galway and let them back into games. Tipp drew with Limerick, beat Clare and I think they would have contested against Cork if they didn't have the sending off after 2 mins. I don't think there is a massive amount between them, both are better than Galway but I would give the nod to Tipp over KK IMHO."
Definitely don't agree that Tipp are better then KK, and don't agree with your rational for same either. Tipp are improving, but even forgetting our RR game against them, they were sceptic in the league final. I would give Galway a very good chance this weekend, but it needs to be the Galway that played against the Dubs and not the Leinster final version.

We are the only two going for Galway to win.
All the other so called Galway supporters on here as per usual have no faith and no balls!

I would put Tipperary in the top 4 teams currently. They have made some significant improvements this year, they have a good game plan which suits their players. This was very noticeable to me when they played Limerick in the League, and remember they beat Cork in Thurles in the League. Yes they lost the league Final to Cork, but they were undone by 2 goals in 5 minutes in the first half and at half time they took off a number of players to rest them in advance of the Limerick round robin match.

Against Limerick in the round robin I know for a fact that Limerick hit all their targets and KPI's, the limerick stats were up there with any match they have played in the last 5 years, so I'm guessing Tipperary stats must have been off the charts if they drew with Limerick. Also they beat Clare in Ennis not and easy thing to do. The round robin defeat to Cork can be discounted as they were a man down due to the Darragh McCarthy Red Card at the throw in.

As regards this weekend, I think Tipperary are just a bit ahead of Galway at the moment and baring a red card ir something I think they will just about edge Galway

I'd agree with that top 4.

The dubs were brutal. 9 wides in the first 15 mins. Don't go by that match.

Off the remaining teams I would put in order Limerick, Cork, Tipp, KK and Galway. Now add in Munster Clare definitely had a down year by their standards and I think Waterford like Galway played well in parts but not good enough to win the big games. Wexford were unlucky against an average Dublin team, but not seen any real progress there in a while. If Clare played anywhere near their best they would be #3 in my book, Waterford would be a toss up with Galway and Dublin and Wexford at the back. I would love to see Offaly spring off their underage success and be competitive but the next 2-3 years will tell if thats a reality. Could any team beat a higher order team, absolutely. Anyway the next few weeks will sort it out!
