The difference between a sub and an impact sub is that an impact sub is someone who is good enough to start but you keep him back to finish. An ordinary sub is just someone who isn't good enough to make the 1st 15.

If Glynn is to be involved he should start this week. Might as well find out now what he has to offer, not in Croke Park on July 6-7th. Personally I have grave doubts about what contribution he can make. Am happy to be proved wrong though.

It will be up to us to prove you wrong. I don't think bar a few lads that most of your hurlers are any better than any of our lads, and the best of our lads would be as good as them . You have 7 lads starting that played in the Walsh Cup Final, with 4 more on the bench. We will have around the same. If we actually hurl for 70 minutes we should win. But that's a big ask of this group. We have a nearly fully fit panel for the 1st time since 2019. They have no excuses.

I think Galway will be raging too. They are not playing the way Henry and O'Shea wants them to play and are in the "must do better" category. Tomorrow is the litmus test to see if they finally click on at least most aspects of the game that management envisage.

Bold assumption there that the players 'are not playing the way Henry and O'Shea wants them to play' Perhaps they are playing exactly how the management want them to? This is a management who sent a team out with one freetaker, and (with due respect to him as he is a fine hurler) a reliable freetaker at the highest level he is not, as has been demonstrated before, and waited far too long to fix this by introducing our best dead ball man. You could argue Evan Niland pulled our management's backside out of the bacon slicer last weekend and he hasn't been given nearly enough credit for this in my opinion. Which is odd, because if the lack of fanfare about what he did equates to an expectation of excellence from him, then what sane management would have left him out in the first place? You would think someone else was responsible for choosing the team and tactics, the way you talk about the players being in a 'must do better' category. Because if the players are in such a category, they certainly aren't there on their own. What is 'the game that our management envisage' anyway? I'd honestly like you to explain it to me because we looked like a shapeless mess on Sunday last for a lot of the game. My belief is that our senior players are currently pulling us out of holes which are largely being created on the sideline. For example, they took far too long to take steps to rectify a midfield sector which was taking on water from midway through the first half last weekend. We were 4 points down with 10 left, two down in stoppage time and it wasn't anything the sideline did that salvaged a draw: it was the refusal of our senior players to give up the fight and accept the result. Which is something that also hasn't been given nearly enough credit. If a team did that in Munster we would be hearing about it for weeks. A fairly reasonable assessment I think. I think there's a little more at stake for us which has me leaning, or hoping for an overdue championship win. Martin Storey won't be togging out tomorrow as far as I'm aware Wexford have 1 point after playing Antrim and Dublin. Wexford have 6 all Irelands in senior intercounty hurling. 5 in football with 4 in a rowe. Nobody cares about club or underage. Galway is a remarkable hurling county. Particularly given how you're alone in your Provence, but you must admit you've massively under achieved where it matters. I'm not trying to invite you into an argument. I was responding to an incredibly disrespectful comment. The fact remains you wish you had our record against Kilkenny. I always liked Galway. I remember the passion of the supporters in the 07 quarter final particularly. Ollie canning was probably my favourite non Wexford player back in the day. Eugene cloonan too. Since you've entered Leinster, produced one all time great and one all Ireland a good number of those supporters have developed a massive chip on your shoulder that's harmful to our game. I would generally have had a soft spot for Galway, but you better respect us. We're all trying to keep our game alive. Stop ruining it.
