Colm Kehoe gone back in again I'm led to believe. Also heard Podge has been asked in.

Can read it all right. Thanks.

Draft list of fixtures sent to counties for consideration, before being finalised and published. Which explains why I couldn't find them published anywhere online yet!

Did they make a final decision on the Walsh and Byrne Cups yet? Apparently most counties are in favour of the pre season competitions resuming again?

I am assuming, and hoping, that if Egan is a disciple of how Sheedy sets up, then our inside forwards might actually be looking forward to getting serviced more. Mac in a Callanan role could be back to his best, Podge a good plan B. I would experiment with ROC in the corner in the league too as I can't pick out many players that could be potentially as explosive when fed ball. No point having him in an withdrawn role. Dunbar or someone else speedy in the other corner (assuming we ditch the sweeper system).

They'll have to let Claire Byrne and Bouchier Hayes hold a poll on the pre season cups.

We don't want the contagion spreading from places like Parnell and Aughrim into south Dublin.

If we ditch the sweeper system we will still have to have the corner forwards dropping back out the field like Tipp did. And indeed every other top team. In other words the forward 6 will have to cover back alot more than the forward 5 used to. And Mac would have to cover alot more ground than he did to play the Callinan role too although maybe he will be reenergised under a new manager. As far as I was told Egan is a very progressive manager who has his own ideas. He didnt get brought in by Sheedy to be another Sheedy.
Podge would be a different player again he is much better under a dropping ball than Conor Mac. Having him in the panel would definitely add something different to what we had under Davy up front but he didnt want to commit the last few years. The way we played the last 20 minutes against Tipp in the AISF wouldve suited him better than anyone we had on the pitch that day except Chin.
Cant wait to see what the new season brings tbh!

Wouldn't be relying on RTE to cover any of the games anyway they never did before!

What age is Podge and is he not past it ? Oylgate had to move Podge off Ciaran Kenny (38/39???) in the quarter final as Kenny could match him physically and cleaned him out. Then he marked Farrell who's about the the same age as Kenny in the county final and got a couple of goals and we think he's going to be our answer as a target man ?? Inter county is a huge step up from that.... Mac looks slow and lazy at inter county so i don't think Podge is the answer. Surprised no one is wanting to bring Shore back in !

Injuries have caught up with Shore I don't think he's an intercounty standard anymore.

Haven't seen him play for years. Even on telly. Hard to see how he would be up to speed for sure.

Are you sure we are not away to Kilkenny Wexico? Also any word on the District games Darragh Egan was planning? And who might be opting into the panel along with Paudie Foley?
