Replying To Bon:  "Maybe so, but have you ever seen Sheedy run onto a pitch and tangle with an opposition player?"
I haven't but I seen the Clare joint manager in 2019 Donal O'Connor do so with Daniel Kearney and little was made of it.

Also what have 4 year old incidents to do with Sheedy been a loose cannon on the line this year.

Replying To catch22:  "Again, what wrongs were done in the past should have no bearing on a decision today.
It wasn't the difference today but the referee didn't know that at the time. There are a couple of umpires there and he never went near them to consult.
Tipperary's shot choice was poor and they have no one but themselves to blame for the amount of wides but those kind of decisions any day are wrong.
As I said Waterford deserve their win."
Yes I cannot disagree with what you are saying. I have said in the past consultation between the officials important. There are also examples of where a player who has been hit with a stick and hurt off the ball. He gives a slight tip back and red. Tough game to legislate but in todays game what is there is not adequate and look out for it getting worse.

Waterford by a distance the better team, both today and last week, limerick will be a step up should they meet, but no reason waterford can't win Liam this season.
One concern is that they may be slightly jaded next week though,

Limerick could win the All-Ireland by playing only Munster teams, potentially Cork in the semi-final then Waterford in the final.

I'm confused. 'No reason', or is the Limerick 'step up' at least a potentially big reason?

If you go back and read your original post you'll see why.

No, having to play a team who are a step up from the two teams you've played so far, and been far better than , isn't a big reason you can't win, it just means if you do it will become a little more difficult as the tournament progresses
If having to play better teams the further along you go is a reason you can't win then no one would literally win anything, ever

You're still confused aren't you.....

For us we used to spend too much time feeling sorry for ourselves. If only this guy was playing. If only we got that call. If only someone was not injured. We may end up with nothing this year also but as long as we get up on the horse and going again we will get there sometime. The U20 have been good and the minors. A few coming through will help.

If Cork win Waterford will be playing Limerick. Hope whoever wins that brings home Liam. If Dublin beat Cork then Waterford v Kilkenny in the SF.

If cork win they play Kilkenny..two top class semis next weekend..congrats Waterford on a another great performance today and a fully deserved win..I'm wondering Canuck, have ye got one of the most underrated hurlers in Kieran Bennett..he was always considered the lesser of the 3 but very seldom plays badly and always chips in with a few scores..ye got a great return from the subs today..think ye will cause huge problems for us next week cos I fully expect cork to beat Dublin..if we don't win again this year I'd like to see Waterford get their hands on an all Ireland..also Liam Cahill has certainly brought ye up a level..today might be the last day some of the tipp players line out..

Big win for the Mayo hurlers in the Nicky Rackard Final v Tyrone today. Absolutely delighted for Keith Higgins to finally lift a cup in the Hogan stand. What a servant to Mayo GAA he has been.

Played really well, Higgins got some great scores. Nice for him to finally walk the Hogan steps after all his service.

Fair play to him you have to admire his passion for the sport. Best of luck to him whatever he does from now on.

Ir funny you should say that. In discussion today I said Kieran Bennett is the most underrated player in the country. I wish we had the extra day but it is what it is. Gleeson coming in and if Daly can play the fresh legs in the backs would be a help. Kiely is a player for the future one way or the other. I prefer to go against Limerick now. If ye beat us I will be hoping ye get 3 in a row.

Ye can hurl in Mayo. I have seen it with my own eyes. Congrats. Push on and up.

It's very hard not to fall in love with the way Waterford play ball. It's like they are back playing the Waterford way but within a structure. Great scores.. waves of players..Its great stuff.
