Murchen didn't get a kick of the ball in the final until Mayo made the mistake of taking T Conroy off.

Congrats to all the winners.

Lovely to see John Small get one, long overdue, would have had McDaid in over Murch as well, that's a strange one for me.

I think Cillian will get FOTY, he had a cracking year and if he does fair play, but personally I think it should be Kilkenny myself, don't think it will be as the Dublin vote will be split between him and Fenton.

Nah, Kilkenny will get it I'd say.

Allstar football selection was spot on imo. Hard to argue with much of it.
Murchan probably lucky enough to squeeze in there ahead of durcan/brady but the 14 others are nailed on

Agree. The team was well selected and yes imo Murchan lucky alright. I would ve gone for Durcan Brady or McDaid instead but overall a good pick.

Kilkenny had a very poor first half in all Ireland final. He did not come into the game until the second half when Paddy Durcan was gone off. Paddy was very unlucky to get injured after 5 minutes of play. Just wonder if Paddy stayed on the field how well Kilkenny would have played in second half after anonymous first half marked by an injured player.

Completely agree.

Don't think we were ever getting 4 so Durkin is the unlucky one. But the rest are spot on.

Paddy's a good player alright I'd be a big fan of his, he did well on Ciaran right enough, to be fair to Mayo they always put a man marker on him and it often stifles us, I'm always surprised most team don't, he's the conductor of the Orchestra. I was happy enough to see Paddy on man marking duties, you don't want him further up the field.

Fair enough team, Murchan maybe a little lucky imo.

O'Connor for POTY. A fantastic season from him. Some scoring!

What has Stephen Cluxton got to do to get an All Star?

Who cares about the Allstars? All-Ireland medals are the only awards that matter

Fair dues to Galligan, he had a good year, deserves his award. Cluxton was the best goalie on the the best team, winning his eight all Ireland, medals are won, all-stars are awarded, i.e they are a matter of opinion.

I suppose the goalie is unique in that he cannot be accommodated like an outfield player, e.g James McCarthy moved to halfback to accommodate Thomas Galligan (or indeed to accommodate James McCarthy, himself) so in fact three midfielders were selected. It would take a big leap to select two goalies.
Also as pointed out in balls.ie is a keeper on a successful team at a disadvantage, Kilkenny, 11 all Irelands 2000 to 2015, only 1 goalkeeping all Star, no title last 4 years and 2 goalie all Stars?

What did Cluxton have to do in fairness? The only save he had to make was against Meath. He wasn't forced into a save in All Ireland Semi or final.
That's down to a solid defence.

In your opinion.

What years should he have got one but didn't?

Much of that solid defence is down to the man himself, organising his backs etc eg the situation that led to Cork's winning goal, would Cluxton have dealt that high ball, no doubt. Fair dues to Galligan award deserved. Cluxton keeps more clean sheets than any other keeper, by far, giving pretty much all the credit to the outfield players, a bit too simplistic.
