You're not from Kerry. If you were you'd know about football and Kerry football heritage. Disrespectful. GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 7335 - 05/09/2019 22:08:57 2233161 Link 9 |
I agree greenandred, I mentioned earlier that he doesn't even contribute on our home page and then later on low and behold he contributed on our home page, someone is try hard to stir up a bit of trouble. Fenton is a nailed on All Star and possibly POTY. Moran is an exceptional player too but Sunday was up there with his best performances meanwhile Fenton rolls out those sort of performances regularly. I heard before the game that Fenton was carrying a knock. The replay should see an improved Fenton. Tir Conaill Abu (Donegal) - Posts: 1671 - 05/09/2019 22:46:44 2233173 Link 1 |
Looking at that tripe on TV tonight made me think what decent value my €90 Cusack Stand ticket was last Sunday. The entertainment levels were on the opposite ends of the spectrum. The Ireland soccer team is a hard watch these days.

Ok you're a troll but just in case - he might well be the top midfielder in the country right now but no way is he better than any of those boys. And you're not from Kerry because a defining characteristic of a true Kerry fan is an ability to be hard-headed and accurate in how they assess their own.

I think Moran is a legend, a pure legend. Does everyone else think he is a legend,? Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 06/09/2019 04:53:54 2233191 Link 2 |

Not to be pedantic now Kingdomboy, but around my area there's actually a lot of people that would pronounce their surname Welsh even though its spelt Walsh, but defo the Walsh's in Strand Road would call pronounce it Walsh!

Fair enough the hermit if you want to be pedantic about it I might be wronging the man, Iv heard the name welsh lots of times before but thought it was a different name to walsh. A bit like bruder and Broderick scannell And scanlon, Maher is pronounced Ma-her Down here where it's pronounced Maaar up the country. No doubt Moran is a quality midfielder but would have him behind jack and Daragh o Shea in kerry midfielders on a level par wit Fenton this season had a good final up to when he carried the ball into Dublin defense late in the game was turned over where rocks equalizer came from. royler (Meath) - Posts: 259 - 06/09/2019 14:58:00 2233321 Link 0 |
Fenton is definetly the best midfielder in the country. But who is the second best? For me it's between Moran, Gary Brennan and Jarly Og Burns. Kerry15 (Kerry) - Posts: 957 - 08/09/2019 10:53:52 2233519 Link 0 |
Rory Dean deserves a shout for his performances for Cork this year as well, exceptional year.

Yes he's a very good player but more of a half forward I think? Maguire and O'Hanlon are Cork's first choice midfield pairing but Deane can play at midfield as well.

Quite early to mention Jarly og as 2nd best midfielder in the country at this stage I reckon. plenty of potential though

I suppose but every time I have seen him play he has been outstanding. Brennan and Moran would have the edge on him here alright. I suppose we'll have to see him next year again to see if he can mantain this year's levels. I would definetly have him top 5 though. Feeley from Kildare would probably be the other midfielder in my top 5.

I think that's fair, if he has another top season he would be well in the mix. He is more than capable though but I would like to see him have at least 2 good years. its always difficult to judge going by debut season

Moran would be in top 10 alright but I'd not have him number one. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 08/09/2019 15:35:59 2233570 Link 0 |
Yet he was the dominant midfielder against Tyrone & Dublin in the AI SF and final? At the business end of the summer, against 2 of the fastest and best conditioned sides we've ever seen? I wonder which counties these 'top boys' that he can't match are playing for... Thomas Clarke (Tyrone) - Posts: 1002 - 08/09/2019 20:16:02 2233642 Link 3 |
