There's a very valid reason people have double accounts on various fora. If, over the course of years, you divulge bits about yourself, where you're from, age, club, family etc you're basically supplying the internet with a lot of information about you. People can check you out on twitter, facebook and so on who are strangers. Why would you make every bit of info about yourself available to strangers. If on boards.ie you become friendly with certain posters you can PM them and share email details if you want to say who you are. So it can be handy to muddy the waters with an extra alias.
