Solid display. Very impressed with style of play. Burlinghams kick outs top class. Full back line solid. Toner was impressive got on alot of ball breaking out. Forde is very silky/smart on the ball along with being a serious athlete and aggressive in the tackle. Dec Smyth would go all day very impressed with him so far again very physical. Midfield solid and physical. Forward line very impressive Tobin, O Brien and Lenihan the pick. Happy overall to get the win but first time in a long time I'm seeing a conditioned highly aggressive team like old. Hopefully we get a result down in Laois. Are some of the posts here actually serious?? We have beaten two very poor teams so far, and remember Micko won the O' Byrne cup last year and looked "impressive" in doing so. Last night if DIT had their shooting boots on at all we would have been at least 5 points down at half time!! in the backs Forde was the only one who looked the part (possibly Douglas as well). In Midfield we were cleaned out for large parts of the match, Toher was poor and Power doesn't look comfortable there, much better in half back line. Flanagan did well when he came on. Our forwards did well and fitness looked good in second half. Lenihan & O Brien in partuicular very impressive. Dissapointed to see o Quaoilean go off, nasty bang he got and was playing well. The two lads with DIT did quite well. McGill kept Tobin to 1 point from play and then moved onto Lenihan who he also kept to 1 point before going off with some kind of injury?? S McE, and Padraig H, And indeed Adam Flanagan have not exceled in any game . The Wicklow game was a farce and a good club team would have given Meath more problems than Wicklow did . DIT put up a fight but , however Meath looked in a spot of bother up to half time . calling for guys who have only just got onto the panel to be choices for the NFL team is a bit unfair on those that have put in the work up till now . I agree with you but it's important people dont get their hopes up too high because it will take time. I can see us doing well in the O'Byrne Cup and then maybe beating KIldare but when we have a bad performance or lose a game people will be back giving out.
