Monday’s Leinster U20HC quarter-final between Dublin and Offaly has been switched from Parnell Park to Newbridge because of the condition of the Parnell Park pitch.
Dublin were due to have home advantage against the reigning All-Ireland champions, but the game – which is a repeat of last year’s Leinster final – will now take place instead at Cedral St Conleth’s Park at the same time of 3pm. It comes after Wednesday evening’s Leinster U20FC final between Louth and Meath was also moved from the Donnycarney venue to the recently-redeveloped Kildare GAA HQ.
The Parnell Park surface was visibly damaged for last Saturday’s Leinster SHC Round 2 clash between Dublin and Wexford amid speculation that weed killer had been sprayed maliciously on it.
"I think someone must have come in with a gallon of Roundup last week," Wexford manager Keith Rossiter quipped after the game.
