Former Derry star Joe Brolly has parted ways with the Knockmore ladies senior team just 10 says out from their championship opener against Claremorris.
Brolly took over as team manager of the North Mayo side back in February, guiding them through a decent league campaign which ultimately ended with a six-point defeat to Westport in the final.
The Mayo News reported yesterday (Thursday) that the 1993 All-Ireland winner has departed Knockmore, leaving the club in search of a new manager as the team prepares for its championship opener against Claremorris on Sunday week, August 16th.
Brolly had previously been part of the Knockmore senior men’s set-up under manager Ray Dempsey as the club reached the semi-finals of last year’s county SFC where they were defeated by eventual winners Ballina Stephenites.
