Mayo manager Andy Moran says his side will need to try and “bring to it to another level” when they face Kerry or Dublin in the All-Ireland SFC final in two weeks’ time.
The Westerners booked their first Sam Maguire Cup decider berth since 2021 with an emphatic 17-point victory over Louth at Croke Park yesterday evening.
Speaking to RTE Sport afterwards, Moran heaped praise on the young guns in his teams and also pointed out that they’ll need to up it another level again the next day out.
“Our young boys have done exceptionally well, our 18, 19 (year-olds)," he said.
"I thought young (Eoin) McGreal was excellent today in the back line. They've just added so much.
"And young Cian McHale from Moy Davids, he's a talented boy as well. So, hopefully we can just keep building, but I think tomorrow will kill an awful lot of the hype for us."
On the other semi-final between Kerry and Dublin, which throws in at 4pm today, the two-time All-Star winner added: “I think tomorrow's going to tell us a lot. We know that we played Roscommon, we played Kerry, we played Donegal this year and we struggled. So, we need now to go and try to bring it to another level."
