Newbridge and Magherafelt will contest the Derry SFC final for the second year running following their respective semi-final wins over Glen and Slaughtneil.
Goals at the start of the second half from Padraig McGrogan and Conor McAteer powered three-in-a-row chasing Newbridge to a 2-16 to 1-10 victory over 2024 All-Ireland champions Glen at Owenbeg on Sunday. The holders held a five-point interval lead and extended their advantage after the restart before Conor Glass scored a consolation goal for the Watty Grahams.
Magherafelt were 0-14 to 1-6 winners over Slaughtneil in the first semi-final on Saturday. Conall Higgins top-scored with 0-7 for the O’Donovan Rossa men who were the better team for long stages.
A brace of Brendan Rogers two-pointers and a Shane McGuigan goal reduced the deficit to two points, but late scores from Shane Heavron and Higgins sealed Magherafelt’s return to the decider.
