Dublin senior football manager Ger Brennan has had his 12-week suspension upheld by the Dispute Resolution Authority (DRA).
Brennan was hit with the ban after being red-carded in the Dubs’ last league outing against Galway last month, during which he became involved in a fracas with the Tribesmen’s strength and conditioning coach Cian Breathnach McGinn.
Breathnach McGinn received an eight-week suspension for his role in the incident.
After having his appeal upheld by the GAA's Central Hearings Committee (CHC), Brennan took the appeal to the Central Appeals Committee (CAC) and was also unsuccessful.
In his last option, the former Dublin defender brought his case to the DRA and, after a five-hour hearing this morning, the appeal was rejected.
It means that Brennan is suspended for the entirety of the capital men’s Leinster championship campaign, which begins tomorrow afternoon against Wicklow (3pm), as well as the first round of the All-Ireland SFC series.
