Christy Walsh has been ratified as Kilkenny junior football manager for a second year.

The Kerry native’s reappointment was rubber-stamped at a county board meeting this week. He previously led the Cats to an All-Ireland JFC title over a decade ago and will be looking to repeat the feat this year. The Cats lost out at the semi-final stage to London last year.

"At this evening's county board meeting in UPMC Nowlan Park, Christy Walsh was ratified as Kilkenny Junior Football Manager for the 2026 season with Paddy McConigley, Andy O’Brien and Brian Sheeran as selectors," a county board statement read.

"Kilkenny GAA wishes Christy and his team the very best for the season ahead!"
