There were four two-pointers recorded as the new playing rules took effect in the first round of the Lidl Ladies National Football League last weekend.

New rules will feature for the first three rounds, including two-pointers from outside the 40-metre mark, and the solo and go option from free-kicks as in the men's game. Free kicks will also be brought forward for tactical fouling or dissent from the sideline.

Galway's Kate Slevin scored the only two-pointer in Division 1 against Meath, while Eimear Fitzpatrick, Rachel McGoldrick and Aoife Cullen also managed the feat for Down, Sligo and Wexford against Louth, Derry and Tipperary respectively.
