An appointments committee has been set-up as Limerick GAA look to assign a senior football manager for the 2027 season.

Current manager Jimmy Lee, who was appointed in 2023, is set to meet with the county board as part of the process, according to a report from limericklive.ie.

The appointments committee put together is set to be chaired by Paddy Mulvihill and also includes ex-players Stephen Lavin and Muiris Gavin, as well as county board chairperson Seamus McNamara. 

Lee’s term with the Treaty men officially came to an end after the team’s nine-point defeat to Wicklow in the Tailteann Cup this summer.

After a successful 2025 campaign which saw winning the Allianz League Division 4 title and reaching the Tailteann Cup final, this past season was a disappointing one for Lee’s men as they were relegated from Division 3 in the league before bowing out to Cork in the Munster championship and suffering defeats to Wexford and Wicklow in the Tailteann Cup.
