Three of Mark O’Connor’s Geelong Cats teammates are set to be in Croke Park this Sunday to support him and Dingle in the All-Ireland club SFC final.
The Munster champions face St Brigid’s of Roscommon this weekend at headquarters looking to capture what would be their club’s first ever Andy Merrigan Cup.
Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield, Mark Blicavs and Jack Henry have jetted off from Melbourne to Dublin to support their team mate, with Dangerfield telling 7NEWS Melbourne: “It really is a once in a lifetime sort of opportunity, so we thought, bugger it, let’s do it.”
He added: “We’ve changed our training around it, to be honest. We really see the value in supporting Mark and watching it, whether it’s live for us or at the club [for the other players].
“Missing one session isn’t going to break the season. This is too good of an opportunity to miss.”
