The provincial senior football and hurling club championships commence this weekend with three televised matches for viewers to watch live.
RTE’s cameras will be at Netwatch Cullen Park to air the Leinster club senior football championship first round clash between Carlow champions Old Leighlin and Laois back-to-back winners Portarlington (throw-in 6pm).
The other Leinster club SFC encounter being televised this weekend is on Sunday afternoon between Baltinglass of Wicklow and Kildare’s Athy. TG4’s live coverage of that one in Aughrim gets underway at 1.20pm, with throw-in scheduled for 1.30pm.
After that, the Munster club senior hurling championship quarter-final showdown between Limerick champions Na Piarsaigh and Waterford kingpins Ballygunner takes place at the TUS Gaelic Grounds (throw-in 3.30pm), with TG4’s coverage of the big clash down south set to begin at 3pm.
Meanwhile, Clubber will be streaming a host of county and provincial championship clashes over the weekend, including tomorrow’s Roscommon SFC final replay between Padraig Pearses and St Brigid’s (throw-in 2.30pm).
