Holders Adare have chalked up a third successive win in the group stage of the 2025 Limerick senior football championship.
The defending champions came away from Claughaun with a battling 0-19 to 1-10 Group One victory over 14-man Oola on Friday night.
With county goalkeeper Josh Ryan a menace in the half-forward line, the east county men led by 1-10 to 0-12 after 38 minutes, Shane O’Grady with the game’s only goal in the first half.
But Adare reeled off the last seven points, including a Robbie Bourke two-pointer and late strikes from Mark Connolly, Hugh Bourke and Davy Lyons, while their opponents had Eamonn Landers dismissed on 53 minutes.
Elsewhere on Friday, twelve points from midfielder and county man Barry Coleman – including five two-point frees – helped promoted Rathkeale get up and running at the third attempt with a 1-20 to 1-8 win over Na Piarsaigh at Askeaton in Group One, while neighbours Newcastle West and St Kieran’s played out a brilliant 1-10 to 2-7 draw in Athea.
Eoin Hurley contributed 1-3 for the Magpies in the Group Two thriller, while Alan Daly and Eoin McEnery netted in either half for Kieran’s, John Hayes salvaging a draw for them when converting an injury-time free.
At Clarina, goals from captain John Hutton, Jack McCarthy, Tom Lloyd and Shane Barry proved decisive as Mungret St Paul's defeated Kildimo-Pallaskenry by 4-9 to 0-15.
