Replying To theboys:  "Listened to the Wexford Hurling Podcast this morning!! I must say Richie Kehoe was refreshing on it,very positive and really gave a good insight into everything he he spoke about,he's got a fairly good insight of things that are going on at underage, that most of us on here wouldn't to privy too!! I have to say I was discusted with U20 result, but after listening to him regard laois team,I still feel we should be beating them, but in fact they are a good team!!!I'd have to agree about development teams giving more time than one day a week!! As regards the game on Saturday v Galway I'd have to agree with him on his analysis which was put out to the listener in a very simple way so as we could understand!! I think he's right that we definitely have to use our legs against a slow galway defence!!! Agree with having mac on the square for the out ball!!! Also he's very strong on our half forwards and midfield getting back when defending to sure up the space we have been giving teams!!! Also I think the most important point was to put pressure on the short puck out, think that's key the weekend!! I'd think he's right about the match ups also,I think Simon on cathal mannion,Shane reck on whealan!!I think this I a very winnable game,as he said we do tend to pull out a performance when our backs are to the wall and I think that's what will happen this weekend!!! I hope we win because that drive home will be a tough one if not!!! Up wexford"
Listened myself as always interested to get the angle from other counties. Thought it was very dismissive of Galway, but I guess they got their answer today.

Good game, safe home to all who travelled up.

It was like the standard you would see in a league game in the middle of winter. It wasn't just one player but it wss across the board. Galway deserved their win, but i think we played better against Dublin. No excuses today.

Shockingly bad performance.

We just don't have the hurlers.

Not sure what management are at.

Simon D left on for 70 mins.

First touch awful.

No game plan.

Mistake after mistake.

Bottom of the pile.

Some on here always positive. But for me the future is bleak.

If we got relegated might be best thing, wake up everyone, no idea what the tactics of playing short with the breeze is all about, makes no sense at all. Defensively looked a complete shambles.

Even when we got the two goals I couldn't see us winning. Galway bossed us skillfully, physically and mentally. Too many of our guys never turned up.
We did try hard in the second half but largely we played 2nd fiddle for most of the game.
Mansion gave Reck a roasting. He is a superb marksman.
Why oh why was Cian Byrne not on from the start?
We came within 2 points in the second half but they were always able to pull away again and again.
This was a very poor performance and I fear for us in our remaining games, especially at home against the cats. Hate been pessimistic but I think our season is all but over.

Not to put the boot in to fellas that give up a lot of time for the county, but there are fellas there hovering around or over the 100 appearence mark that have played maybe 20% more games than they should have, but simply don't have enough quality coming through to phase them out, which is a huge concern in itself

Two bald men fighting over a comb. Mannion was class, Chin good, but not much quality on show otherwise. Both sides were guilty of numerous poor passes, players holding onto the ball too long, and some awful attempts at first touch. Galway deserved to win as they out worked us, played harder, and won most of the considerable amount of broken ball.
Our decision making and speed of thought was shocking, Dooley, Charlie, Dunbar, Jacko, Casey were all poor, Kevin had a poor game by his standards also. Do we have management basing selection decisions on GPS and interval training scores, because they definitely don't seem to be judging lads on how effective they are as hurlers in real games. If they want to pick teams based on stats, start with possessions, then look at what players did with those possessions.

No point in blaming anyone, we just don't have the physicality to match the top teams, we have great hurlers but the modern game is for guys over 6ft,

There is not one player who you could say played well today. Offaly and kk will beat us, the only saving grace we might have is that if galway beat Antrim next week we wouldn't get relegated

I did say the league match against Limerick was not to be taken too seriously, the decision making, the passing all of it was so poor. Unfortunately no one on the bench either to bring on

I'm sorry but no positive spin can be put on that lads - Dreadful first touch all game, miss hitting passes, and we're not able to compete physically with top tier teams clearly, we were bullied out there today. Some individual performances out there today rank among the worst I've seen in Wexford jerseys and management wait until the damage is done to make any changes which won't cut it. Who I think need to be questioned big time now, Byrne 2 goals in 2 games and is dropped for Casey who I don't think touched the ball once in 45 mins?

Or basic skills, first attempt at a sideline cut we completely missed it. Short game an absolute shambles because there is not enough basic skill to carry it out. Cathal Dunbar had a clear chance to score a point, instead dithered around and ended up with nothing.

Casey starting ahead of Byrne was the latest in a series of head-scratchers from the line.

Even in-game, Reck getting roasted but didn't change it up. Bringing on Molloy when they did was too late, just as Jippo coming on vs. Dublin was.

Persisted with an archaic game-plan for too long, and then when we started running at them to good sucess, we only did so for a couple of minutes. The signs were there in their game vs Kilkenny that Galway were there for the taking, yet we didn't test that creaky defence enough. Or would make a brainfart in the immediate aftermath of a score to let them settle again (Galway followed with scores after our two goals).

I will say, Cathal Mannion is one of the most under-rated hurlers in the country over the last decade.

I don't think he's underrated. He has 3 all stars. Every hurling man I know knows he's a class act.
