I see we're advertising a well known Tyrone business ahead of the final, nothing to do with the fact places like this are getting tickets from county board members as well as other businesses that are looking after our county board members, not on at all. This should be allowed to be posted into the forum as well, last few posts aren't being allowed, this is a forum for debate.

Money talks. If some company puts in big money obviously there going to be offered tickets it doesn't matter which county there from. I promise you thell be people sitting in corporate boxes and the best seats in the stands because of this. I find all Ireland day really lacking in atmosphere. Going back to 2014 a few beside me in the hogan stand were talkin to each other non stop and I guarantee you it wasn't about the game were on their phones had a child with them who really had no interest in the game. I know it happens in all sports. I feel for the good supporters who are left sitting at home on the biggest day of the year.

Replying To Donegal-lad27:  "I think a lot of clubs took orders for tickets for juvenile members and in some cases non members. It's my understanding that clubs did get enough tickets to cover adult membership as of 31st March

I know our own club was,in a position to given tickets to all adult members as there numbers,on 31st March"
Our club are short 30 tickets to adult paying members.

Anyone hear the fiasco with the Donegal referees?

I've already declared that I'm a Season Ticket holder, and thank God. I've a lot of thoughts on the ticketing process, and have huge issues with Ticketmassacre. The reality is they have more control of ticketing for every single game except the Final. In many ways clubs have relinquished this responsibility as it is a chore.

Every club member has a Foireann Account number. When purchasing from Ticketmassacre, you could enter your Foireann account number, thereby recording your loyalty. You have to enter your Club and County already every single time that you redeem tickets through the Season Ticket Scheme, so adding your Foireann Number wouldn't be much of a step further.

Anyway, I hope everyone gets sorted, and that there's a huge Donegal support in Croker on Sunday.

In relation to the game itself, the butterflies have started, and I find myself kicking and catching ball every night in my sleep. Hopefully the dreams come true, Tír Conaill Abú.

Replying To Scenicparish:  "I understand. I have family of my own in that bracket but there has to be some rule in processing tickets. Unfortunately all supporters cannot be catered for.
There should be some way of knowing how many Donegal matches a person attended but that's not the case I'm afraid."
How about if the GAA gave each County competing in the final 35,000 tickets each for the Final?

That would certainly satisfy the core demand in Donegal if broken down as follows.

- 1500 Season ticket holders.
- 14,000 Paid Club members & Club Volunteers.
- 14,000 for Club members friends/family.
- 6000 for SuperValu/Ticket master release (Non Club member/Non Season ticket holders.

That would still leave 12,000 tickets for other Counties and Sponsors.

Maybe they should send Longford instead

How many seats are gone to 3 year, 5 year 10 year ticket holders?
If every Club in the other 30 Counties gets 5 tickets that's c 8 or 9,000.

Fiasco was , referees are to get one ticket if the county are in the final. So let's say say for example there's 60 refs, they only received 40 and were told sort it out yourself with a draw/raffle. They turned back and said if we don't get them they'll be no refs for club championships!

I have to say that I agree with them.

Replying To greenfan:  "All memberships are done on the gaa's portal (foireann.ie) , so Croke Park and the county board know exactly how many members each club has on the 31st of March. No validation needed.
Looking at my own club, The minimum cost is 40 euro for a non-playing adult member, but there are family options like 80 euro for 2 adults and a child. 100 euro for 2 adults and up to 5 children. Adult players are 100 euro, or 75 euro if they're a student. You basically add all your family under one account. When registering, you select the category for each member you want to register (playing, non playing, juvenile , student etc)"
That's what I mean. For example let's say it's 80 online through foireann. That doesn't stop a club from taking less from a member if done manually, and it doesn't stop a club from registering 150 An Others.
