The word I'm hearing is that clubs got their original allocation, which should cover all adult members paid prior to the 31st March.

But the county board & clubs are waiting on a possible 2nd allocation from Croke Park before giving the tickets out, to see if they can facilitate families with additional tickets and trying to seat families together if possible.

As long as clubs are transparent in what they have received and how they are being allocated, it should be fine, most clubs were clear early in the year about the importance if paying membership by 31st March

Spot on, but that's half the battle sadly with the politics involved nowadays.

Somebody had the exact figures up here 2 weeks ago, with exact number of registered club members (by 31st March 2025) and Season ticket holders. It works out at around 15000 I think in total, which should be fully covered by the initial allocation.

The risk now is for the people who attended a lot of games last year and this year, but maybe bought tickets in Supervalu or Ticketmaster and aren't paid club members, as they will likely miss out to people who haven't attended any or many games all year and are covered because they are related to club members or someone who can raise a ticket.

Like in any County people who are not paid up club members have nothing to complain about.

Would Donegal prefer a dry day or a wet day next Sunday. David Clifford mightn't be as dangerous in wet conditions . Think it was wet when Dublin edged Kerry in the 2023 Final.

Yeah, people should be a member of their club. Personally I can't really have that much sympathy for someone who does to all the Donegal games but never flies to club games or never joins a club. But the situation with the counties involved being allocated tickets for the hill and Nally stands should be changed, all are those tickets to other categories, clubs from non-competing counties for example, so that more families can be facilitated in the stand.

The second allocation just came out. Donegal received an additional 90 tickets for the Hill. They have been distributed 2 each to clubs.

Where would you stand on people who attend Donegal games and are a member of their local club outside of Donegal due to not living in Donegal anymore?

If that is true then clubs will not have enough tickets for all adult members as they were well short on the first allocation.

Would still like to know the allocation that the clubs got and how many tickets the county board were given.

Would just like to add, it's not as easy as that for the whole county. For example, in parts of East Donegal and Inishowen you could be 10-20km from your nearest club, which would be a few towns over. Many people in these regions follow the county team avidly but don't feel a direct belonging to any club. I think everyone agrees that club members should be seen to, as there are no county players without the club developing them. Further, many more live in Dublin, Galway, Belfast and across the province. You're hardly going to drive to Buncrana to watch a junior league match if you live 200km away, but you'd make a point of coming to Ballybofey for the county team. I do think the lack of provision for non-club affiliated supporters is archaic. I think club members should be front of the queue, but it shouldn't be a closed shop.

If they are not a Member of a Donegal club they are not entitled to a Ticket from Donegal County Board.
If they want to be sure of a Ticket, they need to be a Season Ticket holder or a Full Member of the County they support.

You dont have to live in the club area to be a member. My own club has many emigrants from the area who pay their club membership each year.

East Donegal wouldn't have too many people who have to drive 20km to their nearest club.
For anyone not a member of a Donegal club, but who go to all the games, there is the option of the season ticket. But when it comes to Donegal getting to the All Ireland Final, then it's fair to look after the people and the clubs in Donegal. Yes, I have sympathy for the people who emigrated, but with the demand for tickets, if they don't want to remain a member of their club or get the season ticket, I'd be less worried for them than people living in Donegal. And spare a thought for the executive members of clubs who, at this minute, are having to make horrible choices that will cause rows and friction that will linger long after Sunday.
