Good to see Paul ok and Jack back. That's Jack and Sean back in the mix now with Shane, Damien and Cillian to come.

Don't forget Liam Silke & Tierney. Think poor Patrick Kelly is out so long he isn't even being mentioned!

For the shorter term injuries, they should be back to full match fitness soon enough after injury clears. For the longer term lads like Mcdaid, you wonder once the injury clears, how long before they are back to full match condition.

All will be revealed!

Best of luck Galway tomorrow. A win here and suddenly the narrative changes big time.

It be a tough ask 2 morrow hard see conroy starting after going off ht last sun injured ,, can't really see what Darcy offers as a forward at all I think he has played 17 times over a number of years between starting and coming on and has scored 2 points I think he definitely won't be keeping umpires busy ,, Galway 2 score prob 10 scores 2 morrow

Tyrone beating Mayo probably not a great result for us.

Mayo were very poor tonight. Good result or not, we need to concentrate on ourselves and win our own games.

Mayo are not interested in doing Galway any favours.
We need a win in Monaghan due to head-to-head regardless.

Our win last week looks better now with Mayo outclassed by Tyrone in the second half. We really had to battle last week and it will stand to the players particularly to lads that probably wouldn't start if everyone is fit.
Anything out of the Derry match now would be a huge bonus given how Derry are at full strength.

I don't think you can draw those sort of connections and conclusions from NFL games. Tyrone badly needed the win tonight, with a trip to Kerry coming next work. They responded at HT, activated McCurry, and found a better level of performance through the field. Teams react like that from game to game in a 7 game league, where all sides are scrambling to avoid the bottom two, and aren't too fired up by any further ambition in the competition.

If Tyrone played 2 halves v Galway last Sunday at the level of their second half performance tonight, would Galway have got a result in Omagh? Not likely imo.

In my opinion Mayo treated tonight as a free shot. 4 points on the board with ourselves and Monaghan still to play at home, they would fancy themselves to get something out of those games. Mayo got valuable time into Ruane, Cillian O Connor and gave Hennelly a game while resting O Donoghue and O Shea. Tyrone were very good though in second half and fully deserved the win

Absolutely right! Tyrone had to win tonight (although management was slow to advise the players - until half-time), and Mayo didn't. Make no mistake, given the run-in we have, our management should be of the same mind - a win is a "must" v Derry. I'm confident Galway 2-12 Derry 1-13.

I thought it makes Johnny McGrath look even better too. He was well able for Canavan last week, that dispossession when Canavan was through on goal won us the game. Callinan will be a fine player in time

Surprised about Darcy too. But I must say you are the most negative man I've ever came across I don't think I've ever seen a positive post from you

From our point of view I wouldn't about the result but the performance and lack of any visible game plan is a major worry. Attack very blunt. Conroy like O Donoughue the week before very deep. A lot of passengers on the Mayo panel. We are going nowhere in my opinion. A top 8 side just but that's about it.

I' think I predict Galway would get 10 scores v mayo I predict they get not more than 11 v Ross got 9 I predict thet get 11v Tyrone and they did so I'm a realist maybe Darcy will be a revelation as a forward but so far has not being , I said if he playing midfielder or no where again only my opinion,,

Well what can you say about that? A simple goal chance missed, a soft soft penalty and two black cards in quick succession was our undoing. Disappointing as Derry were there for the taking.

Unbelievable amount of missed chances, Molloy hand pass and immediate black card were critical. That being said, we won a huge amount of possession and there were a lot of positive individual performances. Great to see Kelly and Glynn back. Gleeson was very solid. Hopefully Molloy will recapture his match fitness

They got 12 scores today but are a very poor side imo. I would say as poor a side as Galway have had in over 25 years.

What I'd say about it is that we're missing too many quality players to realistically expect to be beating a side of Derry's calibre. A lot of our scoring power is tied into the quintet of Walsh, Comer, Conroy, McDaid and Tierney, and we couldn't field any of them today.

Better team in the first half, thought we played well all over, Maher and D'Arcy going well but then a few crazy minutes.
The referee ruined the game when a normal foul was given as a penalty and a black card.. another black shortly after killed it..
O Flaherty trying a ridiculous shot when going through.. just a few mad decisions.
We need a few of the forwards back badly..
O conghaile will come good in a few years but now he is way off..
Johnny mc grath excellent
